Extremely Well-Written and Exciting...Much for Teens to Identify With
"The Six" is an extremely well-written and exciting book, well above the usual sci-fi fare. Adolescents saved from terminal illnesses must adapt to an entirely new existence and, at the same time, save humanity; still, they remain grounded in adolescence, with all its miseries and splendor. Plot and character drive this novel in equal measure; the result is an emotionally engaging page-turner. Teens will find a variety of characters to identify and/or fall in love with; there's an appealing range of backgrounds and personalities among "The Six." Divergent attitudes toward authority and difficulties with trust ring as true in this futuristic world as they do today. A plus is the authorโs note at the end. โThis is not science fictionโ he states boldly: all the amazing technology on display here is just around the corner.

Real science with masterful suspense
A very interesting futuristic idea which not just a far out crazy phantasy but has a basis in real contemporary science. This idea turned into a gripping story by a master scifi writer. It was hard to put the book down.

A resounding meh
Not a great read. Kind of an amateur feel. But it has the benefit of being short and simple. Save your dough for something better.
