Worked like a champ!
I've tried several different pumice stones to remove scale (calcium?) on the walls of my pool, and the comments that mention "these are too soft" may not have tried others...pumice is a very soft stone, and that's part of how it works...removes the scale without damaging the Gunite/Plaster surface since pumice is MUCH softer. Try anything harder and you'll be removing plaster...that's not the goal. What makes these bars a great value is their size. I paid nearly twice as much for a single, much smaller bar at the pool store. These actually worked a bit better, but because they are so big, I actually finished the job this time (14 x 28 pool), for less than half of what I paid at the pool store. So yes, these will wear down quickly, they all do. Light pressure, and don't be tempted to use them "long ways"...use the short end or a corner and target each scale crystal individually and they will go much further. Don't "scrub," as this will only wear them down quickly.Worked GREAT for me.

Good pool wall cleaner
Had a significant build up of calcium on my in ground pool walls. Tried regular brush, wire brush and the pumice. Only the pumice worked. Walls are now clean. Didn't work on the tiles, but neither did the others. Used an acid solution for that then followed up with the pumice as a polisher. Pool now like new. The pumice fines easily get removed by the skimmer or bottom cleaner.

Effective
I would rate this higher because it works well for getting rid of toilet bowl rings. I would like to find something like this though that can get into smaller spaces...like around the drain in the sink.

Gonna need a lot
I bought this stone to clean the tile in and around my pool. This product does clean the hard water stains off the the tile, however I am going to need more then one to clean the entire pool. I used approximately half of the stone to clean 10 tiles. I do like the "green" idea of the cleaner though and know I am not putting any other chemicals into the pool. I know its not the stones fault but still was hoping for it to clean more then 20 tiles.

I have been trying to find a way to remove all the calcium deposits that have built up on the side of the pool. I had tried a fine grit waterproof sand paper and it didn't do much but wear me out from trying to scrub it so hard. This pumice stone worked a gazillion times better with far less elbow grease.Note: the stone does disintegrate as you use it. I'm going to need like 10 more of these before my huge pool is completely clean of calcium build up.

Great Product
This is the perfect size stone. And it comes two to an order. I have been looking for this size stone because it is easy to handle and lasts a long time. I use pumice stones to clean BBQ grates and any stains on my pool. One stone stays with the pool supplies and one is always with the grill. This company ships fast and the pumice stones are the right size and price. I will order from this company again.

Suitable for light duty.
Depending on your intended use, you may find these to be too light (no doubt that's why they are referred to as "All Purpose"). I use them for cleaning pool tile and grout and for that application I prefer a denser pumice stone (these are pretty light for any heavy use).

I bought a 2-pack of these pumice stones and they really worked well...I just had my pool deck redone and had a lot of mortar on the pool tile and tried to wash it off with traditional soaps and detergents but I needed something that was more abrasive but did not want to scratch the tiles. These pumice stones really did the trick. Two stones lasted about one revolution around the pool diameter. I would definitely order these again if needed.
