Q: How good is it with holding books, paper and pencils with a tilt? How does it go down, same as up?

Hello, The mechanism to lower and lift the desk as the same. You would only need to step on the pedestal. The table is able to hold up to 100 pounds.

I have not but there’s no reason it couldn’t be used that way
