Sideclick Universal Remote Attachment for Google Nexus Streaming Players

I will say that a product needs to really wow me, and this remote hit the nail on the head for me. I only need to be able to power on my receiver which in turn powers on the tv, adjust volume, switch between two inputs and set a sleep timer and I am happy to say this one remote does all of that. I have retired my harmony remote to the drawer and will only be needed for major settings changes which is rare. I won't knock off a star for this but I will mention it, the price of this for the Nexus Player is often more expensive than the Roku model and my issue is the Nexus version only comes with one clip for the controller since there is only one model to fit where the roku comes with 4 attachments for the different roku models. I feel like less in the box and the remote is the exact same this one should be less, but it isn't. I have the roku model of this and 2 nexus models and love the hell out them, but $20 should be retail, not $30.

This remote is genius. The build-quality is great, and the fit with the Nexus Player remote is far better than I expected. It has a foam rubber piece under the clip portion to help hold snugly without sliding. Even the curves at the front and rear edges of the remote are great; clearly this was well-designed for fit.The programmability of this remote is what really makes it a must-have. I replaced 3 other remotes with this one. The inclusion of the "A" and "B" buttons means I could program less common functions in addition to the standard labelled buttons included as well. I'm using mine to replace my TV, sound system, HDMI switch, and Blu Ray player remotes all on one device.The closest I get to a complaint with this is that I tend to set my remote on my left end-table, which means I use it with my left hand where this remote is better suited to right-handed thumb use. A lefty version that clips to the right side of the Nexus Player remote would be neat, though it's not really a usability issue in reality.

Love this little device. Although I did have to disconnect my TV so that my remote didn't keep turning it on while programming.The process to program is a cinch! You mirror by lining up the remote you want to replace with the Sideclick, press and hold the button you want to mimic, and then press the desired button on the original remote.I can only imagine this being less useful if someone did not have the original TV remote.

Seriously feeling stupid for not having bought this sooner or even looking for this sooner. Easy to use and install. Should come standard with the Nexus Player.

Real easy set up. It really is as simple as the video described.

Works great. A little pricey, but worth it. It's great to only have to use and keep track of one remote, when the Nexus Player is the only device connected.
