I have two small complaints about this. The first is that there are a number of pages that are blank and unlined. It appears random as sometimes there will be 3 lined pages between the blank pages and sometimes there will be 20 pages between the blank pages. I would say there are about 14 blank pages total scattered randomly through the book. The second compliant is that the journal smells very earthy/moldy/leathery to the point where I put it outside in hopes it would air out. Neither of those are deal breakers but just be warned.

Got it as a gift for a writer friend. Very well made, I really want to get one for myself; eventually I wasn't able to snap any pictures but it's just as the product pictures are described and other pictures people have posted. Very impressive quality for the price, nice pages, nice weight, nice smell to it and I would definitely buy another one!

I do like how soft it is & I like the color, but I don't like that it doesn't lie flat, so it is hard to write on the curved part. Also, the paper is too dark for some of my pens to show up well. I should have looked it over more with the magnifying class tool. For the cost, it doesn't have very many pages either.

Much higher quality than I'd expected for this price - absolutely recommend. Love the appearance, smell, texture, and floppy feel of the thick leather cover with no cardboard or stiffeners (take not of that - this isn't like a hardback, more like a paperback in stiffness). Wish the paper was more white but it'll do fine as is.

Haven't used. It does scratch easily and it picks up oil easily. I had lotion on my hands which transferred to the journal and is noticeable. The size is perfect in my opinion. It's been sitting in my dresser and now I carry it in my bag but I don't know how I'll use it.

Been wanting a leather journal for awhile, this one is great. The leather smells and looks great, with a nice soft feel to it. The button snap is easy to release without being to loose or to tight. The paper is well made with a normal rule line spacing. There are a few pages in a row with no lines on them, but no big deal to me as I will probably use them for illustrations. Great purchase......good job everyone.

The journal is true leather. The binding is a little unusual as the back is not symmetrical with the front, but I saw that in the photo so expected it. This is nice enough to be a good gift.

This journal is a gift and I am sure he is going to love it. The leather is beautiful (smells amazing!) and I love the natural look of the paper. You can tell that this product was made with care.
