Rust-Oleum60101 Mildewcide Concentrate

Tried this for the first time after going through many other products, including a bio-engineered enzyme product that runs $65.00 a gallon and has to be used full strength. My problem is green algae not mildew but I thought I'd give this product a try. Areas to be treated are also adjacent to foundation plantings and so the idea of using chlorine bleach was risky--it is highly toxic to plantlife. What I did was to reduce the concentration of both Jomax and the chlorine bleach mix to 1/4 of the recommended amounts, but in the same ratio. Put it in a backpack sprayer and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes before rinsing.The effects were noticeable in one day, but after five days, the green slime disappeared entirely. I have observed no problems with my surrounding plants. Jomax is good for that too because it lowers the pH of the bleach and makes it less toxic to plants--but still be careful. We'll see how long it lasts but quite frankly even if I have to use it again every three months or so is worth it.

Mix as directed and best cleaner that I have found.

I bought this at the recommendation of a friend who lives in NC. He raved about it. I live in central Florida, and I found that it works well on some surfaces here but not others. It takes mildew off of aluminum screen cages, but I did not find that it works well on weathered brick pavers. With the normal buildup of mildew over a six month period, I had to do four applications to get about 75 percent of the mildew off. I finally had to resort to a rotary-head pressure washer to get the job finished.

This stuff works great! But note to self... buy a lot of bleach (required to use with it). Put in a garden pump sprayer, spray on concrete, painted wood... we even sprayed it on the vinyl seats of our boat.... though we were diligent to wash it off sooner rather than later. The floor of our boat was very green... now it looks brand new. This is an excellent product if you’re fighting with mold and green algae.

I was totally blown away by this product. My gutters are 27 years old and really starting to show their age with black mold/mildew. I tried all kinds of things and short of replacing or painting them, I felt stuck with the ugliness. I tried this Jomax and it was just amazing. I used it exactly as the directions said and my gutters came out great. They will never be new again but they have a new lease on life. I plan to do them again this spring to see if I can get them to look even better

Amazing how well this works. Spray it on and literally watch the mold/mildew wash away.The only issue is that you must use a garden sprayer.....will not work in a power washer. I guess you can't maintain the proper water/chemical mix in the power washer. I have some very high areas (30-40 ft) that I can't reach with a ladder.

We had black mold on our light siding behind a row of bushes. I did not get much improvement with letting it set and a scrub brush, but adding a P&G magic eraser (actually a bunch of them) got 80- 90% of the dark stain off. Note that you mix this with bleach, so have that (and rubber gloves) on hand.

It cleaned the house. I have white vinyl and its all sparkly-new bling bling looking. I used a soft deck brush on a painters pole and dipped the cleaner out of a bucket, so I can't say whether spraying it on would work. But brushing it on and then spraying it off with a garden hose worked for me.
