PONS Early Harvest Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil 16 oz

Arbequina Olive Oil is exalted for its delicate flavor, which is often described as fruity. This is the best one I've tried.I particularly enjoy the low acidity of this oil.This oil is unfiltered, meaning that very very tiny fruit particles are left in, to enhance the flavor. I've read that the main drawback to having the fruit particles suspended in the oil is that over time they may ferment, thus tainting the flavor. This is not an issue for me, as I tend to find that I am unable to store most oils that I buy for overly long periods of time; they get rancid. In general, I tend to detect flavor changes in most oils after 6 months or so. Further, this oil is so delicious, that it is usually consumed pretty quickly at our house.I use this as a table oil so that I don't mask its flavor with other seasonings used in cooking. It's low acidity makes particularly suitable for bread-dripping. As a fancier and more healthful alternative to butter, I place tiny bowls of this at each plate for dinner when serving a hearty or rustic bread. Usually I pour about an ounce of this, seasoned with fresh ground pepper (I use Frontier Gourmet Peppercorns, Pink 0.88 Oz Grinder Bottle for both aesthetics and flavor) and just under a quarter teaspoon of Selezione Tartufi Black Truffle Salt 10%, 3.5 Ounce Unit (which I recommend for its value - it has more truffle than other brands I've tried yet is priced lower), into each individual bowl, stir, and voila - we feel as if we're in a restaurant!

I originally brought this brand/product home from Spain and was pleasantly surprised to find I was able to purchase it here in the States. It's a light tasting Olive oil that can be used to dip bread or to cook with. I am happy I was able to purchase more when I quickly ran out of the original bottle.

It was ok, a little lighter then I was used to....
