Drip Irrigation Bag for New Trees

Got my bag and it works fine, however the name is printed upside down. So thinking it might be a knock-off and not the real thing.

Easy to put around the base of the newly planted trees. Just zip it up after wrapping it around the base of the tree. Easy place to put the hose in to fill up the bag, I think they hold 15 gallons of water. You can buy one for each of the new trees or unzip one when it is emptied within 8 hours and wrap it up around another tree and do the same.

After just 5-6 uses on one of the two bags I ordered, the bottom split open 4" along a melt seam. While these are the same brand as what the groundskeepers use where I work, these are very low quality compared to those. Won't buy again.

I live in California so it's pretty dry. I planted some new trees and they weren't doing well with the twice weekly watering schedule of 15 minutes. The sun would burn that moisture right up. I purchased these bags and installed them on my four new trees - they work beautifully! The trees are thriving even amid the severe drought. I'm using less water than I would with sprinklers and the bags water the trees over several hours. The bags also block the base of the tree from the sun so the moisture doesn't burn off right away. Great purchase!

So after less than a year, the bag doesn't hold water for more than 24 hrs. We bought a new tree last year and the bag worked well. This year when we brought it back of the garage to put it on the tree for watering this spring, the bag drains all the water it is filled with overnight. Frustrating.

Easy to use, they work great

This is the second DeWitt bag we’ve had. Had to replace the first dues to some cracking from extreme winter weather and 2 small nicks from the weed eater. We’ve been pleased with both bags.
