Great Item at a Great Price!!!
What an amazing product, for a perfect price. My father-in-law recently had a bad accident and has temporarily lost some hearing in both ears. While in the hospital and after starting rehab, he was getting frustrated at how difficult it was to hear people. The hospital recommended a cheap sound amplifier from Radio Shack (yes, there are still a few locations open..haha!), which was about $20. The cheap sound amplifier distorted the sounds, would sometimes break up and ate 2 AA batteries daily.I then returned that sound amplifier for this one and WOW!! This has made a world of difference for him and his doctors. He says that the sound is crisp, loud and the best part...it only takes a single AAA battery, which has been lasting about 4-5 days with all day use. I can't say enough positive things about this sound amplifier. It also came with headphone AND ear buds. He has been using both and seems to like them as he alternates which set he wears, depending on what kind of rehab he is doing.The kit also includes a neck lanyard and the actual amplifier has a clip on it, so you have two methods of holding the amplifier without using your hands. Very nice! Thank you for making such a perfect product!

mom has dementia and will easily lose hearing aids. I am hearing impaired as well. This device amplifies sound in a room but will pick up background noise. Two tips: use the clip rather than the lanyard since the device swinging on clothes pick up noise. My mom likes the earbuds the best. When I try it with 50% hearing loss I only need to turn up the volume about 1/3 of the way

I did order the sound assistant Personal Amplify. My mom likes it. She hears well. The only thing is if you change the volume it sometimes make a loud screeching noise that everyone hears.

This device worked for a couple of hours and then just stopped working. Certainly not worth $29.95. I'd give it a zero rating if the I could.

My 93-year-old mother likes this product better than her $5000 hearing aids.
