Good book for Jake fans
Bought this for my 3 1/2 year old son for Christmas. He is a huge fan of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. This is a cool idea and the text/story are good. It isn't my sons favorite, I thought he would enjoy it a lot more than he actually does. I am a big fan of using things like the spy-glass to keep the child engaged, but I actually found it to do the opposite. He tends to lose interest in the book and runs off with the spy-glass. On occassion we have been able to complete the book and he does enjoy it. We read mostly at bedtime, so this isn't my favorite option. The spy-glass pouch is embedded in the cover, so it makes it easy to store and keep the book/spy-glass together. I would recommend, but it is not the best for bedtime!

My sons and daughter love playing with the 'telescope' to find items
Story line is a little fluffy - as Capt. Hook has his boot stolen by a puppy. My sons and daughter love playing with the 'telescope' to find items. It's entertaining enough for 2-4yr olds so I'll keep it in our afternoon reading cycle.

I have three nephews, 4 year old, and 3 year olds, and they all loved this. The spy glass is an awesome accessory because they can play with it by itself, or of course use it with the book.

Missing Piece!
The spyglass was missing! This is important to use while reading the book. Not disclosed when I ordered the book!
