It is the perfect size for a small pistol. The hinge is somewhat flimsy. The real problem begins when you have to turn the unit on before it will scan a fingerprint. It beeps LOUDLY when turned on. Then it beeps LOUDLY twice after it successfully scans your fingerprint. By this time, the burglar will either have been scared away by the beeps or you will be dead. Not willing to take the chance. I have a silent, quick responding Sentry Safe so I know neither the on switch nor the noise are necessary. My Sentry Safe is just too big for the drawer in my nightstand. I returned this safe and will keep looking.

Just set up the safe. Very easy. But I was wondering if it is possible to mount it on a wall. If so what's the best way while minimizing damage.

The finger recognition isn't that great.
