Works on some critters, not on others...
Okay - I live out in the boonies. Outside we have mice, chipmunks, ground squirrels, skunks, and raccoons. I have even seen foxes running through the yard. And of course, the garage is a playground for spiders, crickets, beetles, ants, and the like. I was offered this product, complimentary, in exchange for an honest review. Just because I got a product for free does not mean it automatically gets 5-stars. I have given 1 star to products that deserve it. This pest repeller is supposed to cycle through different frequencies instead of just sending out a constant subsonic tone. The changing of frequencies is what is supposed to make it uncomfortable to pests and make it cover more types of pests. So, I have had it for a while and have put it in different situations and here are my results so far.I pit it in the garage under a spider who made his web up where the wall and ceiling meet above my ac outlet. It was a rather big spider. After a couple days, it was gone. Nowhere to be seen. Hmm - I tried a different spot down on the floor where a couple of very small spiders have nested where the wall and floor meet. After 2 days, these little spiders were still there. So apparently, some spiders hate it and some spiders don't care. Seems like the bigger spiders take offense and go while the small ones just say, "good riddance in the neighborhood" and happily stay to catch their prey. It appears the repeller works on some spiders and not on others. This time of year, the crickets are always getting into the garage and sing away with their irritating cricket sounds. Doing my spider experiment, I didn't pay any attention about crickets until my wife mentioned that the garage seemed to be awful quiet lately and how come we didn't have any crickets singing to us? Okay, so this device must repel crickets too. Good job.On the back of the house, I have a deck with some space beneath it. I have lattice skirting the deck so the big critters, like raccoons and skunks can't get under and take up residence. But the mice can get through the lattice easily and I see them all around the deck, usually eating dropped bird seed from my feeders. Also, the chipmunks and ground squirrels (we call them "squinnies") are always around, digging their holes in the yard and making a nuisance of themselves. Even though the directions say that this should not be used outside, I did it anyway and just brought it in when it was supposed to rain. So, I got a short extension cord and plugged that into an outlet on my deck. Then I ran the cord over the edge of my deck, plugged in this pest repeller, and slid it under the corner of the deck aiming it towards the far side of the deck. I left it there and only brought it in when it was going to rain.Interesting that after a few days, I did not see a squinnie or chipmunk. My next door neighbor is telling me that he has them digging all around his house and his dog, Izzy, is chasing them all over the place. His house is about 75 feet away from mine. So, could it be that the critters have just gone over to his house where the atmosphere is more hospitable? I can't say for sure, but I have not seen any critters, including mice over around my deck. I have not seen any skunks or raccoons around the house for a while, but I find it hard to believe that the repeller sitting under the deck would keep the coons and skunks from snooping around the yard. I would think that it would have to be sitting out in the open to do that since the instructions say the subsonic sounds won't travel through walls. But the lattice around the deck has holes in it, so I guess it is possible that the sounds get through. Plus the fact that you can't use it out in the weather would discourage using this device outside all the time. I would like to see someone come up with one of these that can be set outside on a permanent basis so you don't have to watch the weather. When you plug this thing in, you can actually hear some of the sounds it generates. They are low level to my ears, but I can hear some of the tones. So, I know it is working. I have pretty good ears and can hear things that some of my older friends can't. It is hard to understand how such low level sounds can be irritating to small critters when you can barely hear the tones yourself, and some are even out of the range of human hearing. Maybe they set up vibrations that the insects and critters can feel rather than hear. Whatever it is, it appears that these repellers do affect some things and maybe not others. But if they take care of some of the most irritating critters, like mice and ground squirrels, then they are worthwhile to have around. I just wish they were for permanent outdoor use.

Believe it or not, it works.
Totally skeptical of this but anything was worth a shot. Not sure how or when but little indoor moths started popping up. Tried spraying, washing stuff all that recommended stuff with no luck. Plugged this in and while not completely instantaneous I saw a considerable decrease. It's been weeks or about a month and barely 1, even in the other rooms. Could be a combo of it all, yet I definitely believed this helped.

FINALLY, SOMETHING WORKED!
Ok, I'm not sure how this thing works and I was so skeptical I can't even begin to tell you. I was at wits end because I live in a condo and one of our neighbors are slobs, pack rats, or just plain nasty but our apartment was starting to get all kinds of bugs (cockroaches and bedbugs mostly) and even with me spraying, leaving poisonous bait, and bombing, nothing was working. I tried this as one last hope. I bombs the apartment one final time and then plugs this into the dinning room wall (the central part of my apartment) and since then, I honestly haven't seen one bed bug in weeks. For three years I've dealt with the problem and short of getting an exterminator out (roughly $3,000 was the quote) I tried EVERYTHING. Now I'm not going to swear on a Bible that this was the ultimate solution, but I will swear that what I'm saying is the truth and I literally, haven't seen one bed but since. I don't know the since behind this unit, but I'm going to tell you what, I'm sold on it. I don't even know if it was designed for bedbugs, but in my case I would try anything! I'm so glad that at least for now my unit is free from those things!

we use them and they work
i received this product at a discount for my honest and unbiased review. I was not influenced by anyone in any way.I really like these for keep mice out of our garage and shops. They won't kill them but they do keep them away. They are 100% Safe and Environment friendly. I have noticed less droppings since I've been using pest repellers. I put one in each outlet on all four walls of our garage and shops. And I just put one outside on our back patio area and still waiting to see how well it works there. This one though, I put in my shop.To know if they work or not, I suggest you keep track for the next two months without using it, watch and take note to what is there and how much rodent or insect traffic if possible. Then plug it in for two months and again keep track and see if you can tell any difference. I know we do and I do stand by most of these pest repellers. You should place the pest repeller in an open space with no soft large objects in front of it. Try to use the Repeller in a central space of your home, gargae or shop for maximum effect.--------I will always be honest in my reviews. I know that being a consumer myself, I want to see honest reviews, not a 4-5 star just to make a seller happy. My husband and I rely on reviews for our buying decisions as well.
