I had used it on others when I was working in a podiatrist office as a nurse, and tried it on my own arthritic feet.It worked so well I then tried it for my neck arthritis, muscle aches, and spasms.Eventually I used it on my forehead and temples when I had migraines with great results; the cooling effect last longer than an ice pack, and it reduces pain/inflammation!The down side is it leaves a green film on your skin so you can't wear it out when you have headaches, but it can be hidden under your hair if needed near your temples.The smells dissipates quickly; just be sure to wash your hands well after and AVOID APPLYING NEAR YOUR EYES (it will make them tear up).With all these awesome functions, and at this price for 3, I had to stock up!

I am an avid 'Trail and Ultra Runner' and am a huge fan of Biofreeze. I have used the gel for a variety of aliments over the years; tight hamstrings, lower back pain (from a previous injury), heel bruises, tight and/or sore muscles (from endurance runs, obstacle course races, etc.) -- and not once have I been disappointed.Like they say "A little dab will do ya!". All you need is a small amount to feels its magic. Once you've applied the gel to 'the area' you will instantly feel a cooling effect, followed by the smell of menthol (no worries, the menthol smell goes away quickly) and then the sensation of relief is just seconds away. I have also noticed that there is never a 'greasy' feeling after application and it is easily absorbed by the skin. Like I stated earlier, I am a huge fan of this product and I will happily buy this product again. I'm so glad I finally found it online (lol), rather than having to make a trip to the pharmacy.

Biofreeze is an immense help in dealing with my joint pain. I have Lyme disease and the pain travels to joints all througout my body and the intensity varies a lot as well. My doctor prescribed me Voltaren gel for the pain which does help, but not always and can take a while to be absorbed before helping with the pain. So I often use Biofreeze in addition to the Voltaren gel. It creates a cooling icy sensation that seem to distract from the pain.I do frequently have a lot of pain in my hands and the Biofreeze doesn't seem to work as well on my hands as it does on other joints like my hips and knees. I think it must be that there isn't as much fat and muscle in my hands to absorb it. I do have to be really careful when I use it on my hands so that I don't touch my face or eat something with my hands (like popcorn). The menthol in it causes an icy burning sensation on my lips. One time I put it on my hands before going to sleep and then curled up on my side with my hands tucked under my face. I had forgotten about being careful and got it on the sensitive skin near my eye. That needed some washing !Regardless, I love it , have been using it for over a year, and will continue to use it.

I love Biofreeze, a physical therapist turned me on to it. I have back issues as well as osteoarthritis in my hip, and this really helps and works better than any other topical remedy I've tried. Scent is pretty strong, but dissipates relatively quickly and is minty, which I don't mind. Make sure to wash your hands with cold water after applying and don't touch your eyes. The color is a little shocking out of the tube, but it blends away immediately when you rub it in and I've never had any staining issues. Price is good, but I removed a star for the expiration date on these tubes which is less than 6 months from my date of purchase, so if you're buying to stock up, be aware of that. I have used an old tube that I found in my camping gear that had expired and it was still good, so I think the product will still be effective, but I'm annoyed that the seller is selling old stock.

This review is ONLY for the green Biofreeze gel and not the clear. The green gel is truly a lifesaver for me. Ive had 2 back surgeries and pretty severe osteoarthritis. I use this gel before going to work and it has the cooling effect that lasts at least 3+ hours. I have been in a hurry at times and mistakenly ordered the clear Biofreeze gel and that doesn't work. The cooling sensation lasts all of 15 minutes tops. I would highly recommend the Biofreeze gel (GREEN) to anyone who has severe pain. This product has allowed me to live a full, productive life. Ill even pay more for it just to get relief. I now order the 3 pack and have it delivered every other month. Fantastic deal.

The physical therapist treating my stiff foot/ankle (post-surgical) used this during therapy so I decided to keep using it on my own. The best thing is I've tried it on the other foot that has a Morton's neuroma that grew back after surgery. I've been using Voltaren gel on that foot for several years and it kept the neuroma pain to a dull roar, but after about a week of trying the Biofreeze, amazingly that foot feels much better and I can't feel the neuroma nearly as much. The menthol smell is very strong so I wear a mask while putting it on and that has helped, but I'll keep using it because it works, despite the strong odor.

I received my BIOFREEZE GEL . The gel has a nice smell it doesnt bother your hands at all . I broke my knee twice and this gel truly works i can move my leg . I have fibromyalgia and i have server pain out thur my body and i keep reading about pain relief and i wanted to try this so i have . My honest opinion this green gel truly work on all problems and it can hurt you like pills can . But remember this gel is cold therapy and it has Menthol in it and it's paraben free too. And it doesn't stain your clothes at all , you can use it any time of the day. I do recommend this BIOFREEZE to everyone all ages can use it. How i bought it i did the buy 3 of them and i subscribe to it every month . I have one in my room , one in my gym bag gave my daughter one.
