No, I would not call this easy to assemble unless maybe you do puzzles all the time, expert. I got this for my wife as a gift. She absolutely loved it as soon as she saw it. It took her a while to put it together but she would work on it for about an hour a night after work and then a little on the weekend if she had time. I would try to help but I could tell she wanted it all to herself. I did a little... hehe heh. It is super fun to work on and there are shapes within shapes within shapes. If you get this, when you finish, flip it over (if you can), and look at the back, there is a smaller whale outline inside the big whale and you really cant see it until you turn it over but if you pull those pieces out it is a smaller exact whale which could be a mini puzzle on its own, maybe the smaller version of the same puzzle, not sure. Flipping it over... we had to flip it (them) over to put the clear backing on it to hang on the wall which we have not done yet as we are about to paint. We purchased the exact kit for this to hang it on the wall, it is easy to do but you need two large pieces of cardboard. The cardboard that comes with the kit is not even close to large enough and you will need to be creative with the plastic to make it fit on both whales if you get the king size 700 pcs. Very nice looking puzzle and fun to put together for someone who does a puzzle once in a while. The pieces are sturdy and thick, made of wood. Good quality puzzle. Cant wait to do the owl next.

This puzzle is just so lovely. I got this as a special gift for my girlfriend and not only herself, but her family loved it. It’s really good, the wooden pieces are very high quality and the picture is really beautiful. Looking forward to getting another puzzle soon :)

These puzzles are beautiful works of art! I bought the "king size" and put them together in an afternoon. After I glued them together (wood glue just on back side), I hung them on the wall. The designs on the whales are colorful, all the colors are bright and the pieces are very uniquely shaped. All in all, they were a lot of fun to put together and I love them!

Great puzzle and nice for gifting

This was a very enjoyable puzzle to assemble. Some of the pieces were shaped as a scuba diver, fish (various kinds), seal, shark, humpback whale, and many more! It was a challenging puzzle because the pieces were either for the mom humpback or the baby humpback, and each piece had non-linear sides. It was satisfying to finish the puzzle, which doubled up as an interesting coffee table centerpiece!

The end result is absolutely gorgeous. It also uses pretty high quality construction. The puzzle itself is probably the most difficult puzzle I've ever done. It also seemed to get more difficult as time went on. This really felt like an achievement when it was finished. I was absolutely convinced there were missing pieces several times, only to find the piece literally hours after I started looking. I'll definitely buy another.

Pretty cool, ideal for a gift.It comes in a carboard package, so is well protected.

This puzzle is unique and the colors are beautiful. It is made of wood and includes a stand to hold the picture up, which proved to be a great bonus. If you like a challenge you will enjoy these puzzles. I was so pleased with the whales. I even framed a fish for my beach house. My family enjoyed working on it when they wanted to relax. This is expensive…but worth it.

L'ho preso come regalo, ed è stato molto apprezzato!! Ho preso la versione S e non è quindi troppo grande e pertanto in una sera è stata assemblata la figura delle balene. Il tutto è arrivato un una scatola di legno molto carina, inoltre i pezzi del puzzle anch'essi in legno sn a forma diverse di vari animali e nn solo. Non è il solito puzzle! La persona a cui l'ho regalato mi ha detto che proverà a metterlo in un quadro così da appenderlo!!

A really good quality puzzle, the pieces don't seem fragile and have good colours. Even the smaller size is trickier to put together than you think, it's a fun way to pass a little time without taking up a lot of space like a big puzzle.
