Cateye mounting plate is "Type A head", use long screws with the GoPro mounting plate.
I bought this to cleanup handlebar space with my Cateye computer and GoPro. Main sell point was that this mount allows use of both simultaneously with this mount. Thanks to another reviewer I found out that the Cateye mount head tab (covers the bottom screw hole) can be gently lifted up to insert and tighten the mounting screw. The diagram shows this kind of relationship but not really. There is no text describing this part of the installation. Included "manual" doesn't detail which types the mounting head is, the Cateye is a Type A. There is no shim available for smaller bar diameters (26.4 mm). I had to salvage the shim from my original out the front Cateye mount with the provided shim to make the fit.Good materials, seems well made, now that I understand the installation, it's on tight, right and in the groove. We'll see how it handles my next MTB run fully loaded. Hey Bar Fly how about v2 manual to address these issues, and additional shims? One point off for poor documentation, and no extra shim...

hard to access
The arm that holds the computer comes off the bottom of the bar and curves up to a position that puts the computer centered on the bar. The arm of the mount is short, so there's a very small space between the computer and the bar. I tried to see if I could turn it over, but the bolts are too short and the nuts would have been exposed.

Fantastic value, great warranty, shaky GoPro footage.
This is the go to road mount in our household. They feature a ton of different head unit mounts and a GoPro mount on the bottom. The entire unit is modular so you can have a sleek aerodynamic profile or the utility of the GoPro mount. We use the GoPro mounts for two things first and primarily is to mount our headlights (lights and Motion urban 900 and Lezyne 1200); this lighting position is second to none in terms of visibility and illumination on top of this if your light does not have a GoPro adapter the unit actually comes with a universal light kit which will allow you to mount your headlight to a GoPro mount. We also use this to film our bike races; note I’ve used the footage as a coaching tool more than anything else; if you want high quality footage K-Edge is the way to go as the plastic mount vibrates too much for truly clean footage. This fits my wife’s 520 along with my 800 and Tate labs has a lifetime no questions asked warranty. I bought their original mount like 5 years ago; snapped it because my Garmin has a metal dog ears base plate which does a number on most mounts I even told Tate Labs this and they sent me a code for a free xl mount which cost 3X what the original item costs. All in all a fantastic product by a great company.

Works well with my Garmin 520 and Hero Session 5. Requires extra parts.
Pros- works well once you get the extra parts to mount both your computer and gopro.- the mount is light, very streamlined with handlebars, and more aero than stock garmin mount.- i can reach the gopro hero 5 session power button while riding to start/stop video easily.Cons -- Did not include handlebar rubber insert which i needed to attach this mount to my road bike handlebars. Out of the box the mount was too loose around the handlebars and would not get tight enough.- The gopro mount on the underside has no screw nut attached to it. Normally you would just need your gopro thumbscrew and screw it into the nut attached to the mount. However, I had to buy a new set of gopro screws/nuts to attach my gopro. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IEXHGSO/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1Overall this combo works well with the additional modifications. Hopefully they can include this small hardware changes in the future.

Functional & Sleek
This is a nice upgrade from my 4 year old Bar Fly 2.0.The improvements are:* The part that wraps around your handlebar now have a hinge, which the 2.0 didn't have - you could easily break if not being careful during installation.* More offset: this helps center the display with wider stem faceplates.* The ability to attach accessories such as lights.I love the ability to attach a light. It declutters the "cockpit". The light is not even visible from the riding position unless I move my head to the left/right. I use the light as a daytime running light. This mount lets me mount it such that the beam is perfectly horizontal for maximum visibility.Things I didn't like:* The Garmin mount now requires you to mount the computer with a clockwise twist and remove with a counter clockwise twist. The 2.0 didn't care about the direction of mounting/removal.* The computer can move a little while pressing buttons. Doesn't move enough to pop out accidentally, but it doesn't seem as firm as the 2.0

Great for my Garmin and GoPro
I put this on my BMC TeamMachine SLR01 for my Garmin 520 and also installed the mount for my Go-Pro. The video is perfect for each ride...I only use it if there is any issues. The Garmin is right in front. Keep in mind this will not work for the Garmin 1000 or 1030 since it is for the smaller computers like the 510/520/820 size.

Seems solid but better mount instructions are required for Cateye.
I was initially looking for a K Edge combo handlebar mount for my Cateye bike computer but none of their mounts were compatible. I finally came upon the Barfly 4 Mini and it seemed to fit the bill. It's made from durable hard plastic so I will have to wait and see how it holds up over time. The kit comes with several different heads to fit a variety of different bike computers from Garmin to Bryton to Wahoo. The supplied Cateye head was quite confusing to put together with the Barfly Mini as there were no instructions. After contacting the good folks over at BarFly support, I was able to resolve the issue. The flexible tab on the Cateye head needs to be lifted up before inserting one of the flat head attachment screws. The screw acts as a stable platform so that the click button on the back of the Cateye can properly actuate. The Barfly mini is the perfect size for most smaller type bike computers and fits firmly on the bar with the supplied shim. The kit also includes a universal attachment for a bike light and also a base for a GoPro camera. I plan to use the Mini 4 combo mount to attach my Cygolite but won't be using the universal mount and instead have ordered a special Cygolite adapter to fit the GoPro base for a more custom fit. Love the de-cluttered look on the handlebar now. I also like the idea that Barfly provides 7 different computer heads just in case one decides to change devices down the road. Will have to wait and see how it holds up to the elements and vibration in the field.

Sturdy alternative mount for bike computers.
Got this for my mtb but it has a 35mm bar which makes it a tight fit for my edge 530. A smaller computer would fit. Luckily it worked well on my gravel bike which had 31.8mm bars and enough clearance to use the bottom buttons on my edge. Just something to be aware of.

Came broken.
As mentioned on the title, it came broken. Probably because it’s not that sturdy. Went with an alloy one from K Edge instead.
