A decent drawing guide for a beginner!
Frankly speaking, I am not so good at drawing people. But I am willing to develop the skills needed for a good drawing so that I got this book to educate myself. And this book has never disappointed me as I have learned many great things so far. First, this book changed my wrong mindset. Although I had got this book so as to develop good drawing skills, I hadn't fully got rid of a doubt that only talented people can do a good drawing. But this book elaborates on the fact that the person who is not an expert in drawing can do a good job as long as the person is eager to learn the skills used in this book. Now I am confident in myself and ready to take each step needed for a good drawing. Second, the drawing tips in this book is very straight to the point and helpful. The author does care about a beginner like me so the every technique in this book is explained in a step by step manner and easy to understand. You might not be familiar with using photos or some advanced techniques but don't worry. This book is going to teach you everything and you won't be overwhelmed. Now I finished reading it and couldn't help grabbing a pencil and working on my own project. The only flaw is that it would be better if this book had sample drawing pictures to help your understanding, but I still find it useful and highly recommend you to get this book.

Two confusing chapters advertised as "books"
By buying two books at $2.99 each instead of the "deal" of $ .99 I was able to piece together 2 lessons of which several parts are missing, I was able to solve part of the puzzle. If you are content with several misdirections, numerous confusing typos, and a few chapters thrown together, you may be able to glean some type of message. I was not amused by Amazon nor the author.

A method of using photos, framing, gridding and simple tools -- could work for me.
"You know," I said to myself, "this method could work for a non-artist like me! I'm going to try it." After all, the author promises me: "This book contains proven steps and strategies on how to learn how to sketch people."The method is using photo references to begin with, then framing and gridding -- this helps to focus on small units at a time. And focus is what an artist needs to develop most of all.We begin with the drawing tools we'll need. I appreciate that the author keeps this list simple and cheap, even down to the erasers we'll need. What will you need? Only -- a ruler, a black Sharpie, a piece of card stock paper, scissors, sticky tack. Then just follow the directions in this book -- they are well explained, I'm sure, but I would've liked some illustrations. I'm sure I'll understand the instructions more clearly as I work with them. I also wanted to know if the author is an artist himself and tested his own instructions. Or is he just putting together a book through research and no personal experience in the field. Even if that is true, then he's done a fairly good job.

This book helped me figure out the #1 thing I have been missing: eye level. This 100% changed how I draw and now my sketches look more involved and dynamic. I was wondering why they have been looking flat!

Not a good book if you want to learn to draw differences in people.
I should have listened to the other person who gave it 1 star. As soon as I received the book I knew it was not what I wanted. I wanted to be able to see different ways to draw eyes, noses, ears, and lips. This book did not have any of it.

Disappointing!
I was disappointed. This did NOT tell me " how to draw people." This told me in general terms -- but nothing specific enough to be useful. Nothing about technique. I would not have paid money for this!

This is a great beginners guide to drawing people!
I've been drawing for a few years now, and I feel like I'm getting a little better over time. People have always been hard to draw for me, its just not an easy skill to pick up! After reading this book, I feel like I have a little better grasp on the process and know I need to put in the work and practice to get better, when putting in the work and having help with guides like this I know there is no way I cant get better.

NOT GOOD
Not what I expected.. ..looks like photocopies of a real book stapled together and there is not much drawing.

Draw people!
A great book for beginners on how to draw people, something i enjoyed reading, and i've already implemented the strategies within to improve my drawing. Drawing people doesn't have to be hard ... i know it can be intimidating, because that's what i thought, but it's actually quite simple when you start knowing what to do!

Lots of writing and reading but not many illustrations. It needs to be ploughed through for those wishing to draw.

No people
Almost nothing about people. Some discussion of materials, eye-level, smudging etc. Contains 3 drawings of an eye, 3 of hair (I'm being generous) and one drawing of a tree.
