No longer any worries about the quality of the potable water we put into our Motorhome. We live full time in our RV, and rely on this unit to provide the best possible drinking water from any source we are connected to. Has lived up to all our expectations and then some.

This is the only filter out of the three I’ve tried that had clean water test results. I tried the most common Camco in-line fliter and our water still had an odor. I bought a Water Works Bacteria Growth Check Kit and performed a few tests over the course of a week. There was significant growth. The test color was maxed out, which was pretty discouraging.Next, I graduated up in cost and quality to the Watts standing, in-line filter. Although, I discovered both the Clearsource brand and the Watts at the same time, the $200 price difference swayed me. Once I installed the Watts filter, the odor from the tap was gone, but the test results showed around the middle marker for growth on the water test chart. Not terribly impressed with that, since we're full-timers and would like to be buying less bottled water.Finally, I was able to get the Clearsource unit a little over a month ago. Install was a pain for me. I’m used to doing things myself, but needed a hand to not lose my patience with twisting the hose onto the unit since the fittings on the filter end do not move. It’s inconvenient, but a major fail point on the Watts unit, so I can appreciate the motive behind having them fixed. Honestly, if I was a little better prepared by having hose end covers, I could have stretched out the length of hose fully in a straight line and just turned it into the fitting without worrying about my fresh water hose spinning in the dirt, but that’s all hindsight now. Also, the extremely common hose that goes from the filter to the RV, that 4’ Camco one, needed 1 or 2 gaskets to stop leaking. I’ve had that thing for so long, I can’t remember if it came with any. But, that’s a heads up for anyone getting this. Make sure you’ve got a couple hose gaskets and you’re gold. No leaking from the unit whatsoever. Anyhow, the good part! The water test came back perfectly clean, no color at all. I do these monthly, and waited till the second test to review. That’s worth everything to me and I really appreciate all the work these guys put into making this filter. We love it.

We had been using a dedicated filter for drinking water only because it seemed like overkill to filter all of the RV water. However, this filter does a great job and is easy to setup. It's a little pricey but we think it's worth it.

Mine leaks badly. The seller and manufacturer are both refusing to do anything to honour the warranty. I'll be replacing it with a model from a different company.
