Works Well in my Koi Pond
Occasionally one of the Koi fish succumbs to a problem. In the past I have used to use two smaller nylon nets to help remove a fish that died. But both were needed due to the size and weight of the fish. Recently one of my old nets broke due to the age of the netting. These Koi are well over 22 inches long, and are heavy. One of the 15 year old fish recently developed a problem and I was treating the water to help it survive. But I knew I would need a new net to help reach the bottom of the pond if the fish died. No sooner than this Wakeman Fishing Retractor landing net arrived, the fish in trouble was motionless at the bottom of the pond. Fearing it had parasites, I used the remaining old net to maneuver the non-moving fish through some rocks, and into the large opening of the Wakeman rubber net. Much easier than trying to use two smaller nets to do the extraction. The new net is sturdy and I was easily able to remove the fish.

Caught a cat perfectly
I bought this to catch a feral cat who would let me feed him but not get close enough to touch him. He took up residence under a shipping container. Trapping him wasn't an option since I have five other cats who would interfere. He stayed thin after many weeks so I needed to apply a topical flea/tick/worm killer on him. When he was within six feet or so, I put the net over him. He jumped around but the rubber net was strong as I held the pole to the ground. I was then able to clamp down on his neck without fear because the net is quite thick. The net has holes large enough for me to expose the back of his neck where I applied the topical. That was two weeks ago. He seems less afraid of me now since I caught him and let him go. I can almost boop/touch his nose as he looks out from under the container.

Nice net, cheap price.
Really nice net especially for the price. The only thing I didnt like was when i got mine, the rubber net was pinched between the aluminum where the handle hooks up and had caused that strand to break. Not a huge deal, just a bit of a nuisance. Still holds fish!

Here fishy fishy
Works great for landing large pike from the pontoon. The tangle free net makes it easy to get both your fish and hook free. Slides down into a compact size. The black net hides well in the lake.

Great value, good quality
The shipping was fast, and net is better than what I was expecting. now, it is a less expensive net, but the netting is a thick rubber net. better than my previous net. its light weight, which is really what I wanted. hard to hold a rod in one hand and a heavy net in the other. Is this the best net out there? nope! but for the price, it is a great net. durable enough to last several years. tip: cut about 12" of a pool noodle and tape duct tape it to the handle. so when you kick it overboard, it will float. :)

Great value. I would buy again.
I needed a net and after searching I chose this net due to previous reviews. After about a month and 20-30 uses I decided to share my experience here. I have netted and brought in striper and cats up to 25lbs using the handle no problems.Last night (June 20th) I finally got to test the net with a 40lb blue cat here in North Carolina. My friend was netting for me and once in the net brought it to the boat. Neither of us thought we could get the cat in using the handle so we grabbed the edges and hauled it over the side of the skiff. The net held. We had both thought the 35" cat wouldn't fit in the net at first and it did! then it held as we brought it into the boat.Plus the benefit of the rubber netting so that hooks do not catch is a bonus. Much bigger of a fish I would have used a gaf but I wanted to test the net for when I am fishing alone.Buy this. Its durable and worth it. If the net broke on the 40lb cat I would have bought another one this morning.

Decent design, QC?
Light, seems well put together, price is reasonable. When not extended it’s quite easy to fit in center locker on the boat.Didn’t notice till after I had made it float that the net came with a couple of cuts :(

Great net!
Very pleased with this, what a joy to not have to deal with hooks imbedded in the net. Even treble hooks were not an issue.

Su malla plástica hace la diferencia
La estructura retráctil optimiza el espacio, muy buena relación calidad precio, si tienes buen espacio en la embarcación es una excelente opción

Nice net
This is a good net. Would be better if the handle as a bit more solid and extended further. The rubber netting made handling the fish we caught easy.
