Helped poor drainage issue
I have heavy compacted/clay soil and this drill bit helped enormously. Be careful as some have said it can snag. I eventually learned slow in and out is best. Make sure you have a reversable drill.I drilled a little in and while the drill is still in fwd motion slowly bring it back up this ejects the soil around the bit. Then go bit further and again bring it out. If get stuck use reverse a bit before fwd dragging soil up.Drilled full length down so drill nearly level with grass got rid of the soil taken out and let all the holes air dry (some water at bottom depth). Then backfilled 2/3 with garden stone (20mm think from homebargain 5.99 a bag) then 1/3 cut grass qnd compost to get the organics back in soil.Really helped drainage and much cheaper than french drains. Will do some more in autumn and overseed the lawn.Worth the money guys. If battery drill make sure you have a few batteries on charge. 18V battery did about 10 holes before being drained. Or maybe try with electric hammer drill with reverse function on.

Take your time it's a powerful took make sure you use a reversible drill not an SDS drill.
Got quite a few bruises on legs when I could not handle the torque generated when roots forced drill to spin out of my hands. Dont be clever and rush the job and it's perfect. I was drilling holes 2ft 6in deep filling with stones mixed with sharp sand to help water logged ground drain. No little lakes on lawn now so did the job .

Good tool
This a good tool not only for putting potted plants into the garden but to also soften up hard soil and mixing paint

Worked a Treat
As in the title, the augur worked a treat. I bought it to bore out the soil beneath holes in paving for drainage prior to fitting uplighters. I took advice from a previous review and used an 18V battery drill to reduce the risk of the augur snatching against roots and stones, and any ensuing wrist injuries. This was good advice. In terms of sturdiness, the solid shaft is a boon but care has to be taken not to damage the hexagonal section that is gripped by the drill chuck.

Poor quality!
Really disappointed with this. I’d dug only a few holes in relatively soft soil before it bent, twisting my wrist really badly and becoming useless!

Used on a cordless drill ithe speed & torque need careful setting up.
Produces clean holes in tilled garden soil and through turf, if using on the latter the drill needs careful tweaking to produce the best results.

Garden drill
I have a garden with very compact earth full of clay and stones. Digging larger holes for plants is quite a task and as I get older it does not get better. I bought these drills not really thinking they would help but willing to try. Using my 18 V drill I attacked the ground and quickly learned that a few rules were needed to be successful. Using the small drill first to drill a ring of holes around the planned hole and following that up with the bigger drill was so effective that it only took me 10 - 15 minutes to have a hole 60 cm wide x 60 cm deep. Also use the drills by repeatedly pulling them out after 10 - 15 cm. This breaks up the earth and removes the stones in the earth. Shovel the broken up earth out in between times. Proceed in layers down. These drills were worth every cent I payed and were 1/2 the price of many others. They are still undamaged by the use after 5 large holes.

Loch. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Un aiuto indispensabile nell'orto
The media could not be loaded.
