hands down one of the slimmest battery cases out there. I love how it uses the lighting cable to charge. only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because on the front isn't raised on the edges to cover the screen from a fall.

The well used/older case worked great for a while but stopped working a few months later. Afterall, it had been used for a long period of time before I received it from him. Even though the used case eventually stopped working, I really liked it, so I searched for the same model battery case by Kotech and found the newer model case here on Amazon. I purchased a New case and I have been using it without any issues at all, at this point. However, I did notice that the rubber, that forms around the cell phones screen, is a thinner and more pliable rubber than the prior model version but doesn't seem to be an issue or have any negative impact on the function, performance of the current model version. Overall, I really love this battery case, it's ultra-slim profile, the extended battery life that its added to my iPhone 6s and it's easy to operate. I can't even imagine Not having one for my iPhone now. ~ My experience with this product so far has been Great and I would Definitely Recommend this product to future buyers ~ + Also, this is the Only 5-star review that I have ever given to any product, after years of many purchases that I've made from Amazon. + ** This is how I use/operate this battery case: I charge both the iPhone and battery case via battery case port > when both are fully charged, I then disconnect it from the charging cable > I turn on the battery case and allow the battery case to drain first. ***(Instead of allowing the iPhone battery to drain first and then turning on battery case to recharge cell phone)*

I should have listened to the other reviewers. The case has an intermittent connectivity issue with the iPhone when the lightning cable is plugged in, which started a few days after I received this Kotech battery case. The iOS on the iPhone thinks the lightning cable is being pulled out and inserted within a few seconds - this intermittent issue occurs until I unplug the lightning cable from the case; to fix the issue I just let it settle a few minutes, plug it back in, then it would work properly. Now the case won't charge the iPhone battery nor will it charge the case battery when the lightning cable is in. I have tried different lightning cables/power sources (PC USB, wall chargers) to alleviate the issue with no success. I'll just pay the $50 to have a new battery put in the iPhone itself after this debacle of a battery case.Update 12/17/17: Modernway sent me a new one. This one seems to be working better. I have only used it a few weeks now. I'll update this review if the replacement fails too.Update 12/26/17: Same issue came up regarding the intermittent issue with the replacement. I won't ask for another replacement - I'll ask for a refund this time.

This was a good case while it worked. But it only lasted around 6 months before the connector no longer accepts a charge. It won't pass through a charge to my phone when in the case either, so it's completely useless, other than as a mildly protective case, which is of course, not why people buy this item. And of course, the warranty information on the sellers page takes you to a dead link.*UPDATED*The seller responded to my review promptly, and sent me a replacement case with no hassles, or no questions asked - wonderful! The new case is working so far, which is good.So long as it works -this is a good case. One of the few that lets you use the same Lightning cable (not MicroUSB), and I find that the charge helps me easily get through a full day of heavy use, sometimes multiple days. It adds very little bulk, and my phone feels oddly small (and slippery) without the case now!-Matt

PURPOSE - After traveling with my iPhone 6 through different airports and running between meetings in a big metropolitan city, I needed more hands on power so I don't run out of juice by the end of the day. I bought this case looking for an elegant and slim solution that worked.QUALITY / EXPERIENCE - Great quality and feel. The back is a bit shiny, but the sides are nice and grippy. The battery case is extremely slim, and in fact I preferred holding my phone with the case on!VALUE - Reasonably priced. I'm returning this case because I want a perfect solution, and if one exists, I'm willing to pay double what this one cost.EFFICACY - The experience was 3/5 stars, and this product might work well for someone if they're willing to put up with some finicky behavior. The charging function worked 80% of the time, sometimes I'd have to reboot my phone to get it to work. Unfortunately, the pass through allows charging, but when I tried to use the port to output video via an HDMI adapter (from Apple), it didn't work.CONCLUSION - This seller is good. This charger worked most of the time, but I want something that works ALL the time. If you're willing to put up with finicky behavior, the case is very slim and feels great and it works most of the time.

Update: 2 months after using the battery, it no longer charges my phone. Will try to get a replacement from the seller.it is a bit expensive but if you're looking for compact, this one is it. personally, i hate thick battery packs that adds too much bulk to my phone. this pack won't charge your phone 100%, just enough to get through a longer work day where you'll need your phone for a couple more hours. charges my phone from 15% to 95%, that's all i need.
