... to buy a VERY affordable bass with some very amazing tone and want a bass that is VERY light ...
So you want to buy a VERY affordable bass with some very amazing tone and want a bass that is VERY light weight? This is your bass. I was not expecting too much out of a bass with a low price like this. This bass came with a gig bag, a strap, an extra set of strings, polishing cloth, a cord, a pick holder and 5 picks. the gig bag is just a good dust cover till you can get a better gig bag and i am cool with that. The bass iy self has a lot of good going for it. It is a full scale neck but the body is kinda short scale about the size of a strat. i was cool with that and a ding did not really bother me. I play my axes not look at them and they will get some dings. I love the way the neck is pretty much none of that heavy nitro stuff that most guitar companies put on their products. This is much like a Squier in that respect. i love that feel and all my guitars and my banjo are scrubbed down like that on the necks so my hands dont grab on the neck. Keeping in mind this is a bargain basement type of bass and it was probably geared to a beginner I would not be afraid to do a show with it or record or even take it on the road. I have played a lot of basses and this is a great bass for a few bucks and if you need a bass and money is a big issue, get this bass and work your way to a better one. I did have to do my set up on this and the frets needed to be dressed a tiny bit on the edge of the fret board I set the action and pickup height and checked the tuners and tightened those up as should be done. I will shim the neck a little to adjust the neck angle a little so it has a lower action. Once I did all the set up I plugged it in and what I heard through the speakers was as pretty sounding as you would hear on a high dollar fender P Bass. It is light so if you have a sore shoulder or an issue with weight this is your bass. Kids will love this bass and for a young student I would say yes to this as a first bass. For you pro players out there that want to have some fun, go get one of these and have some fun.

She's got a nice body...and that's it.
I got my new bass after 8 days of sitting patiently by the door waiting on the UPS man. Once it arrived, I tore into it excitedly, admiring the GORGEOUS transparent blue sunburst paint-job, eagerly awaiting the chance to play my brand new 4-stringer, only to be disappointed by the glaring oversight of Steadman's QC. The body has multiple blemishes: scratch spots, dents, etc, and the rosewood fretboard appears to not have even been oiled, as it still looks freshly sanded, add on the fact that one of the tuners in the headstock keeps buzzing, and I can say I'm not too happy a camper. The most outlandish defect I've come across so far is that the nut is made of (very) cheap plastic, and the A-string keeps popping out with anything more than slight pressure, which means not only do I have to adjust the very high action to a more playable height, I'll also need a new nut before this thing is even remotely playable.Extras Overview:Although advertised otherwise, this bass doesn't come with extra strings, it comes with an extra g-string only.Included cleaning cloth is soft, and lint-free.Included strap is apparently only mean to be worn by children, as at full length, the bass comes up to my collar bone.Included cable is terrible, and barely works, get yourself a new one, pronto.Gig bag is alright, don't expect it to protect against more than the most minor of bumps and scratches.Pros:Beautiful paint-job.Decent quality pick-guard.Pickups sound nice, and tone/volume pots are smooth and noise-free.Frets are polished to a mirror finish.Cons:Completely messed up nut.Multiple bumps, scratches, and blemishes on the surface.Fretboard seems unfinished, needs oil.Included strings are dull, and lifeless.Headstock rattles with every note played. (Something loose in one of the tuners.)All in all, I give this bass guitar 3 stars. I'd give it a 2.5 stars if I could, but for the price, it could be worse. I was hoping for better quality for $85, but I guess that's too much to ask for from Steadman.Cheers.

I thought this guitar was nice. My bass player friend thought it was awesome
As a beginning bass player, I thought this guitar was nice. My bass player friend thought it was awesome. He said I got a winner. It is lighter than most any bass, but has a good tone. Holds tuning well. Comes with a no-frills tuner, that does work. The cable and the strap are mostly worthless. The gig bag will keep the dust off, but why use it? Keep your bass on a stand, and pick it up hourly. And it is pretty!

Very Disappointing
Had this bass for only 3 months and the nut broke by the low E string. It will cost $50 to repair a $100 bass
