Headphones with great anticipation because I liked their style and the reviews ...
I Ordered these Plugged Inc. Headphones with great anticipation because I liked their style and the reviews it received and the fact that Plugged Inc. said that the controls on the cable will work on an Android phone (Galaxy S5 in my case), um, well the + & - buttons do not work despite the claim that they would and only the receive/hang up call button works which also can stop/start your music. Also your temples will hurt like hell if you wear glasses.I am also miffed that these did not come with a case, do not fold and did not come with instructions (not that you would need them) or warranty info.As for the sound, initially, I thought they sounded quite good until ai came up with the brainstorm of comparing these to my Able Planet Earbuds!!! Big mistook to say the least man!!! The $30.00 Able Planet Earbuds made the $70.00 Plugged Inc. headphones sound like all the tone controls were set on flat, I couldn't freggin believe the difference between the two!!!I was actually upset with myself for a minute for doing the comparison because I really liked the style of the Plugged Inc. headphones and wanted to keep when I received them.So despite their claim that other headphones in this price range will have blah sound (their words), these unfortunately have the blah sound.Plugged Inc. has now been Unplugged and returned...too bad because I did like them initially.

These ARE the headphones you're looking for.
Aesthetically, these headphones are beautiful. They look amazing and like the article mentioned, I had a hard time choosing between the two colors. I decided to go with the red and blacks. But the color schemes alone take you back to the Jordan days. They feel sturdy and expensive. Just overall, they look and feel definitely like a high end and high quality headphone. Now on to sound: I think they are great and produce a high quality sound. I feel that they do really well in isolated high treble areas (more vocals and less bass) and they do really well in isolated Bass and beats sounds but when they are combined, the bass tends to fall in the background. I'm a person that loves vocals and lyrics a lot so I notice that a lot. I have a lot of friends that love the beat and bass more than anything and could probably listen to a beat with a random hook. I think people who focus on Bass will not particularly get the full use and feel of these headphones because they amplify everything else involved in the tracks, but, on the other hand, music lovers and eclectic tastes will no doubt be satisfied. That intense sensitivity the article mentions is truly prevalent when listening to well mastered tracks and albums.I love how you can separate the different components of a song and truly hear the music and sound. I enjoy how it eliminates the outside sound and essentially zones you out from the rest of the world. "Plug in, Fade out" could not be a more perfect slogan, not only because it sounds great but because its very true. I found myself lost in my music while running and have to pull the headphones off my ears a couple times to make sure I wasn't blasting the music to loud to disturb others. I love how they can fit around my entire big-ass ear. I did get a little irritated using them while running but I think that is just from switching from in-ear headphones to over-ear ones. I just need to get used to the feel since I've been using in-ear headphones for the past 5 years or so.Overall, these headphones have been great. They've helped me escape from the problems and realities of the world, as well as, allowing me to focus on those same issues and life itself. You won't be worried about anything but the music; simply what headphones should do.

Not very well made
The bad:The headphones are OK....sound quality is average at best, not very loud and the bass is mediocre compared to other brands (e.g. Beats or Souls).Build quality is questionable....I've owned mine for about 4 months, and had only used them twice or so in the last 3.5 months. I decide to start using them more frequently last week, and it was a bad decision! These headphone broke yesterday as I was removing them from around my neck. And no, I didn't overextend them....just the usual 'grab and pull away' movement you would make when placing them on/off your head. Maybe I got a lemon, but I've owned plenty of headphones and none have ever snapped like these didThe good: The design is superb tho, very catchy. These headphones are also very comfortable

Terrific quality & funky style!
My son received this pair as a gift over a year ago & has loved them! We live in Korea where Beats is what everyone has...so people have been curious about these because you cannot get them here. The pattern is funky and great for a kid wanting to express themselves. That said, we are now sad that he recently lost the ear pad/cover off of one of them while we were recently traveling. I checked on the Plugged Inc. website hoping to be able to contact them & order a replacement cover...doesn't appear to be an option or a way to contact them. This pair was originally priced at $99 so the Amazon price is a good discounted price. I just hate the idea of buying an entire new pair just to get an ear cover when the pair he owns works perfectly fine otherwise. They've been terrific headphones.

Awesome headphones for the price
Before buying these I was definitely skeptical ... Most headphones these days aren simply hyped up due to the endorsement they receive or the advertising budgets they have. The crown series definitely did not disappoint ... I have a pair of the Beats by Dre and comparing the two ... The beats seem very bass heavy and made out of junky plastic and everyone knows they cost a fortune. Plugged Inc's Crown series hit the nail on the spot. They feel snugg on top of your ears and deliver a perfect blend of highs, mids, and lows. No sloppy bass or hollow treble. You also get a detachable, gold plated cable with track control and a mic which is compatible with the iPhone. The headphones are loud in design and loud in general. I am looking forward to the rest of their products ... Few things I would hope for (Im sure they are headed in that direction) ... is on OVER the ear headphones ... maybe a carrying case ... and/or customization in the colors. A black matte finish would look sick!Definitely happy with my purchase!
