While this item is not an elegant solution, it does work.I’m not sure what other reviewers meant by saying they could not fit small or large flashlights into the holder. If nothing else this device is scalable, with copious quantities of Velcro. The rubber patches give enough friction to hold the flashlight in place. I have used it for flashlights as small as 1” diameter, two 1” flashlights side by side, and a 2” diameter flashlight.I generally wear it over a glove, which is probably a good thing. All that Velcro would likely rub holes in your skin. I have medium size hands (female) and without the gloves, I would probably have difficulty getting it small / tight enough to be stable. Over gloves, no problem.A better solution to the strap, that is not just swathes of Velcro, would get this item 5 stars.

Security concern
Not sure that the flashlight will be secure without using a lanyard on my wrist with it. Will try it out on my first dive using it next week. I will be securing my light on my wrist with a lanyard though.UPDATE: The strap worked great however, I will continue to use a lanyard for prevention. My flashlight was pricey and I wouldn't want to take a chance on losing it. The strap is very comfortable to use on the wrist and the hand,

Item arrived in an unmarked bag with no packaging or instructions. Took forever to figure out the straps. Definitely too large for most women. Not sure the velcro will be tight enough to hold a smaller torch either.

It works. I have a decent sized hand and I still have to tighten it more than what it’s supposed to be. But good quality and like I said I does do the trick

Works fine and holds flashlight securely
Works fine and holds flashlight securely, but needs more padding for the back of one's hand and wrist for more comfort.

Good for skinny lights
Ok for skinny lights, will not fit my main light. Does what it says pretty well though.

Clumsy and large
I don't feel comfortable using this glove: the flash light is not that secure neither I can fit my hand perfectly.

Too small to hold a medium flashlight. Material is decent quality, just can't use it.
