Terrific reading for fifth and sixth graders
This National Geographic photobiography of George Mallory's life and the mystery surrounding his death on Mount Everest conveys the sense of adventure explorers like him had in the early part of the 20th century. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to be inspired to pursue his or her own adventures.

Very Interesting
I have just finished a book about Mallory and wanted to learn more. This book gave me a visual picture of the expedition..

Poor quality photos
I read this book prior to reading The Wildest Dream by Peter and Leni Gillman. I purchased this mostly for the large photos, after reading Jeffrey Archer's Paths of Glory, but the photos are poorly reproduced and there are more and better photos in the biography by the Gillman's (The Wildest Dream), and much better writing.
