Fine for most use but not perfect
As others have mentioned the threads between the brass nut and the plastic tap aren't a great match. However, after cleaning up the brass swarf stuck in the nut threads and applying some WD40 it was able to be screwed on.I had issues getting it to seal well on my barrel - over-tightening the nut caused the rubber washer to squeeze out and made it leak. However, after removing it for the 3rd time to re-fit it, upon re-tightening the thread sheared off from the tap and rendered it useless. It's probably fine if you just want to fit and forget, but could do with some large 25mm washers to protect the rubber seal and suggest fitting it once only.It would've done the job if I could have got it to stop leaking, but I'm going to replace it with a 3/4" brass lever tap instead.

A good replacement
I thought that I would have to buy a whole new barrel with a tap but I thought I would see if replacement taps were available and they are. Fitting couldn’t have been easier because the barrel was almost empty. I just tilted the barrel and with a pipe wrench removed the old one and put the new one in. Perfect

Couldn't get it to stop leaking when inserted into a campervan water tank.
I had poor access to install this into one water tank. I think the rubber washer could be sturdier and bigger, as it must have got twisted. Broke off tap tightening it. Bought a cheap plastic one from Wickes. On the other tank, it works OK but there is still a weeping leak. Not sure why. I'll replace this with another Wickes one next time I remove the tank.

Missing a washer causing it to leak
Comes with only one ID 20mm {31mm OD} rubber washer so it leaked even when I used PTFE tape on the threads. Otherwise it works fine.
