Will the Shark 12-inch blade fit the Shark 15-inch (10-2315) handle?

What's the pitch of this blade?

Interesting question -- a Japanese saw is not like our Western culture saws that are design on the push. They work on the pull -- with that said, the teeth are like a shark tooth with three cutting edges from within the tooth to create a gullet between each alternate tooth. The backside of tooth has a slight angle (about 2 degrees) towards the handle to create a point (hook angle) at each tooth. The term "Pitch" is not used with these type of saws because the point and the front part of the tooth is perpendicular to the blade. When cutting the points should rest flat on the surface and pulled with very little energy. In another words -- be gentle and let the saw do the work. You can tip the saw back towards you ever-so-slightly so you have less teeth on the surface depending on what you are cutting. It is a 14 tpi with a Kerf 0.035". Hope this answers your question....

It is 3 1/4 inch at the maximum height and 2 1/2 inches at the minimum height. It's a very good saw blade. I've had this one for years.
