BIONIC Knee Support Brace: Black, X-Large

I purchased this brace after having gone to a medical supply company as referred by my orthopedic surgeons office. When I went to my appointment I expected to be measured and fitted for a brace specifically for me. However that turned out not to be the case. I was measured but the brace I received was flimsy and was too big and was basically and off the shelf basic brace. Within a week it had stretched out so much it was falling down my leg. I decided to go online and find my own brace. I followed the instructions to measure my knee and order the Donjoy and I couldn't be happier. I'm awaiting surgery and this has helped me tremendously achieve more comfort and mobility. I have already had double knee replacement and I decided to order a second brace for the "good" knee for additional stability until my revision surgery is scheduled. For those contemplating knee replacement, don't let my situation discourage you. My first surgeries went great. I just tore a ligament in my left knee .... a bit too zealous in my activities.

It has enabled me to walk my dog in the park again! The fit is perfect. It doesn’t fall down or bunch up behind my knee! Well worth the money when you consider the pain I was in!

I was hoping this knee brace would provide more support, but I think it's only light to light/medium. I wound up using it when I sleep instead of my old and bulky, but very supportive, knee brace, and this one is more comfortable for that. It doesn't work well for me while trying to walk, though. It seems like a quality product, is easy to put on and take off, and provides more support than the stretchy type that pulls on, all while keeping the bulk down. I was hoping to replace my older brace altogether, but I'll have to keep looking. If you need lighter support, this may work fine for you.

The brace fastens on the back right side making it hard to get a good snug fit! I think it’s more the design of how it fastens Vs the product. The straps get stuck to the Velcro as well making it a little hard to keep separated. It’s very well made and supportive if you can get it just right!

Husband purchased for knee instability before his scheduled knee surgery. Said he was able to work all day wearing it outside doing trail maintenance, landscaping, and outdoor projects on even and tough surfaces and kept knee stable, comfortable, with no overheating and sweat. Was even able to wear work jeans over the brace.
