Comparison of 6 Brands: Samsung, 3Active, Epson, ValueView, Panasonic, 3DHeaven
Comparison of 6 Brands: Samsung, 3Active, Epson, ValueView, Panasonic, 3DHeavenTested all glasses on Espon 2040 and Epson 3500Darkness: from darkest to lightest (note: difference from one end to the other is marginal, but definitely noticeable): Samsung/3Active, Epson/ValueView, Panasonic/3DHeavenCrosstalk: from least to most (note: this is looking straight through the lens, looking at an angel introduces crosstalk in different ways – crosstalk is only noticeable in extreme contrast situations – and is otherwise rarely noticed): Samsung/3Active, ValueView/Epson, Panasonic, 3DHeavenComfort: from most to least (note: only 3Active bothered me): Panasonic/3DHeaven/Samsung/ValueView/Epson, 3ActiveLens size: from biggest to smallest (this doesn’t really impact viewing in my experience): ValueView, Epson/Samsung/3Active, Panasonic/3DHeavenPrice: from least to most: Panasonic, Samsung, ValueView, 3DHeaven, 3Active, EpsonMy recommendation:For the price, if you are going to get a few: the Panasonic and Samsung will give you good value and you get the option of brightest image or least crosstalk. I find that I like the brighter image more, but on the occasions that you are noticing crosstalk, the Samsungs are nice because they pretty much annihilate it. If you want something in the middle (medium brightness and medium crosstalk in one package), then I recommend the ValueView. I see no benefit to the 3D Heaven glasses because they have the most crosstalk of them all and are not brighter than the Panasonics and are more than double the price. The Epsons are pretty good performers, just like the ValueViews but are over double the price, and are over quadruple the price of the Panasonics and Samsungs. The 3Active are not comfortable and perform exactly like the Samsungs at more than twice the price. At the end of the day I use the ValueView and Espons (which I got with my projector) the most, but use the Samsungs a bunch too. My wife likes the Panasonics the most because of brightness.More detailed review of all glasses below:(2x Pair) Samsung Rechargeable 3D Active Glasses, BlackSSG3300GRhttp://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Rechargeable-Active-Glasses-Black/dp/B004PYEBZ2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00Darkness: Like the 3ACTIVE glasses, these are tied as darkest of them all – slightly more blue than red/green color tooCrosstalk/Ghosting: Like the 3ACTIVE glasses, these are tied having the least crosstalk of them all (I assume the darkness means the shutters are open for less time, which equals less crosstalk)Comfort: Relatively comfortable – medium sized lens – they are the only pair that do NOT foldOperation: I found these to be the most annoying with no on/off switch – they always worked, but I can’t tell if the battery is draining or not all the time – it seems that bending the frames as you place them on your head turns them on and that they just time offPrice per pair: $20Adult Epson ELPGS03 3D Glasses 3D Heaven Rechargeable Compatible 3-D GlassesUltra-Clear HDhttp://www.amazon.com/ELPGS03-Glasses-Heaven-Rechargeable-Compatible/dp/B00GVLL8DK?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpageDarkness: These are tied with the Panasonic as the brightest most red and green allowed throughCrosstalk/Ghosting: These have the most crosstalk of them allComfort: They are pretty comfortable with a nice surface finish – lens is smallOperation: No problems – time offPrice per pair: $40EPSON-Compatible ValueView® 3D Glasses. the quality is good, the design is good too
I bought 5 pairs of the ValueView 3D glasses for my EPSON 5040UB. These glasses paired very quickly with my projector and worked very well. My wife wears prescription glasses and they fit on top with no problem. I read some reviews about this product but not on Amazon saying that these glasses were heavy. Absolutely not true, they feel very light, the quality is good, the design is good too. When I first put them on they fit nice but not perfect, maybe because of my nose, but when I took the plastic piece that goes on the nose off, they fitted me much better, and the viewing got even better for me because the glasses got closer to my face. So that's a plus for being able to take the nose piece off. For Kids who are 5 years and older it fits them great. I had my friend's kids to try them and watch a movie and they loved them. One down side which is not a big deal but whenever you pair these glasses, the projector shows you how much charge you have left and I know that mine were fully charged but the projector reads it's only 75% charged, and after finishing the movie it still said 75%. So I'm not sure if that's a software bug or something else. If these glasses were sold around $25 they would probably beat the Samsung that you can find for $20. But you need to know that you can't fold the Samsung and they don't come with a case. So selling these for $34 I found it to be a little bit high, but I guess if you are looking for a good design, something that you can fold and store then this should be on the top of your list specially if you only getting a pair or two. If you are getting 4 or more then Samsung might have a slight advantage as far as price goes.

A bit of crosstalk but very comfortable and affordable.
I bought these for use with my Epson 6040ub projector. I got these as an alternative to the more expensive Epson glasses. I must say they are a very good product.Comfort : They are incredibly light and comfortable. They fit over my glasses with ease and they do not pinch my head.Crosstalk : there is some crosstalk. It is definitely enough that i notice it, but it isn't enough that it ruins my 3d watching experience.Accessories : comes with a soft case, mini-usb 4 pin charging cable, and cleaning cloth.Really good value for the money. Highly recommend.I also tried the xpand glasses which were horrible for both comfort and crosstalk, and the 3active 3d glasses. The 3active 3d glasses were a bit less comfortable but also had a bit less crosstalk.4 out of 5 stars.

These work Perfectly!
I purchased this to use with epson HC 3700 projector. I purchased multiple brands of active 3D glasses; these work amazingly well, they are the best of all the brands I tried. No color bleed through the active shutter. They leave the image crisp and clear. They are not overly dark or anything of the sort. Simple to sync and recharge. Other brands had a number of issues that left the glasses being sub par compared to the epson name brand. These have no compromise and work perfectly well. I will be buying more of these. Great quality.

Perfect Match For Epson 3500 Projector
I recently purchased an Epson 3500 Projector that came with 2 free pair of 3D glasses. Knowing that I would probably need more for when guest came over. I went ahead and ordered the ValueView pair, glad to report quality wise they work the same as the 2 free pair that came with the projector, at half the cost. I switched back and forth between glasses during the movie, and seen no difference in the picture quality, both worked excellent. Safe to say I'll be ordering more. It only took seconds to sync the new glasses with my Epson projector. Highly recommend.

Work well, and are inexpensive
I purchased these glasses for an Epson projector with RF sync. These glasses fit comfortably and work well. I have noticed a few, single frame, artifacts. Basically, one side does not go dark when it should for one frame. Over about 8 hours of viewing, this has happened three times, hence the 4-star rating. I recommend these glasses to anyone who does not want to spend too much, and want a rechargeable 3D solution.
