FUNNY;
The whole series has a nice funny story and its nice for 6-10 years in opinion. Its a nice short story and everyone of them have a different story but all alike in the funniness.

Me, I don't like Grouchy's Frenchism
As being more familiar with the cartoon show adaptation of this book's main story, "The Magic Egg", "The Smurfs And The Egg" is a pretty entertaining story, and it also gives us some backstory on why Grouchy (at least in the comic books) is the main sourpuss that he is -- if what happened in "The Purple Smurfs" is any indication. Speaking of which, the one thing I don't like about Papercutz translating the stories into English is that they translate Grouchy's French lines too literally, resulting in his usual "I hate..." statements becoming "Me, I hate..." or "Me, I don't like...", which is NOT how Americans or English-speaking people ever actually hear Grouchy. You wouldn't expect even the George Lopez interpretation of the character from the movie to say "Me, I don't like..." now, would you?Besides the main story, there are two other stories that have also been adapted into cartoon show episodes, "The Fake Smurf" (which here is Gargamel turned into a fake Smurf and not Hogatha) and "The Hundredth Smurf" (where you'd have to hold up the pages to a mirror to read Vanity's mirror clone's comments). They're also entertaining, although they fall prey to the same problem of Papercutz interpreting Grouchy's lines too literally from the French.I'm hoping for more stories that I haven't got in English to be published by Papercutz. But please take a hint: Grouchy says "I HATE..." in English.

I smurfed it for my 8 years old daughter!
As a french citizen of France living in France while having my daugther being raised with her mother in the state of Georgia, USA; I Felt it was so important for Emaline to be around this strong french kid culture. So I went ahead and ordered: A HIT!!!! She has now nearly all english title! Can't wait for her to read them in French!A question: Amazon don't classify them as BD for "Bande Déssinée". What the english word for it, if even there is one?Merci Amazon Prime!
