Large Cake Decorating Tip Coupler

I was a little distressed at the price of this originally, but when it showed up? You understand. The coupler is Solid, screws apart and back together smoothly, the large tips seat nicely. It's well made and it makes using a pastry bag so much simpler. Massive difference especially for filling things like cream puffs.

These Wilton disposable piping bags are amazing. I had some Wilton bags, but they were reusable, which is fine for one project that uses one frosting/chocolate/whatever that is one color. The disposable ones however make it much easier to do purple chocolate in one bag, and white frosting in another. In addition, cleanup is much easier, you take the tip off and coupler off of the bag, wash them, toss the bag, and you are done. The only thing I will say though, is that the plastic when covered in whip cream or chocolate or buttercream gets a bit slimy, so removing the coupler from the bag was a bit of a challenge, however, throwing the bag away and having one thing that did not need cleaning definitely made up for that.

This coupler works with all of my large Wilton tips. It’s easy to use, disassemble and clean.

I was hoping that these would work for the Russian pipping tips as well as standard large tips, unfortunately that was not the case, but they are still well made and work for the large standard tips.

It could be made out of better materials, so that you could crank down the tightening without the coupler “nut” cracking and becoming useless.

Even though the photo shows the old (o think?) pink packaging, this comes in the newer yellow polka dots one. This fits ALL the larger tips I have now, and I have a few diff sizes of large ones (2A/B/D, 4B, 402, 125, 366, & 1M). I was worried when reading reviews of a “large coupler” by Wilton on another site said it didn’t work with the larger Wilton tips, so rest assured…this one works!

These are great for any Wilton large piping tips. If you order the Wilton 46 piece piping kit I highly recommend also purchasing these, because while the kit does come with a couple of couplers they will not fit the larger piping tips.

Excellent quality, very thick plastic with a good solid thread that won't get worn quickly. Perfect for my larger Wilton tips but would also work with other brands. Beware you would need to cut your piping bag a bit larger for this, I tend to use disposables with it. Excellent buy, ensures you can change tip whilst using the same bag and colour and it's just more secure than simply putting the tip in a bag. Highly recommended.
