Robert Louis Stevenson: Seven Novels (Leather-bound Classics)

Obviously not a reflection on the author or the stories, however I have ordered this book twice now, sending the first one back and both have come with this problem. Do I go for a 'lucky' third attempt or just accept less than perfect goods?Also there is a definite difference in quality between the Barnes and Noble leather bound books and this series. With Barnes and Noble being the superior. (their books arrived within a plastic cover and there is no damage. Also their covers simply look and feel of a higher quality)

This is a lovely edition, it looks amazing on the coffee table and on the bookshelf. Amazingly I’ve never actually read treasure island before, seen multiple versions of the movie and have been really surprised at how much is left out / how much more is in the book.

This book was a Christmas gift for my partner, it is very well made and looks impressive on the shelf. It fits in perfectly with our other classic hardback books. Of course the stories are absolute classics and are great. I would probably recommend this for adults or older children, as it should be well looked after to hand down to the next generation of readers.

Fine as a kindle which beats having lots of his books to carry or store. He's a brilliant author who has stood the test of time in terms of exciting stories and superb dialogue and prose.

What can I say? A classic children's story that has stood the test of time and will continue to do so. This special leather edition is every well made and very easy to read. I've always really liked Treasure Island so getting this was a nice treat especially when you remember the other stories by Lewis are in it too. It's nice to have TL in nice book like this and finally have the bonus of reading the others too.

Book arrived damaged. Dents in the bottom corners and glue coming out of side. Not leather. Will be returning.

It’s not illustrated. I don’t know why it’s advertised as such.
