A-1 for Remington's Canadian Folding Knife
The Remington Canadian Linerlock belongs to Remington's Sportsman Series. It is model #19723 manufactured in China. This knife has a mirror finished stainless steel blade and bolsters with a burl wood handle. Type of blade steel is not given. The handle has four well executed finger grooves that are both good-looking and noticeably functional. Can't imagine losing grip with this 4 1/2" ergonomic handle that also adds a useful thumb ramp with nonaggressive jimping. The 3 1/4" highly polished blade has a hole that serves to open the blade, but it requires the thumb to proceed slowly . . . definitely not a fast flipper. The linerlock engages the tang solidly without horizontal or vertical blade movement. Opened the knife measures 7 7/8 inches. It comes with a pocket clip secured by two T6 torx screws; the screws do not fully screw in should you remove the pocket clip as they are intended to be only used with the clip. The fit and finish of the knife exceeds expectations. The finger grooves are really as good as other knives that cost considerably more . . . like the Buck knives. Shiny brass liners certainly would have added attractiveness to this sportsman knife. If you're looking to purchase a folding knife that has competently and comfortably rendered finger grooves at a nonprohibitive price, look no further . . . the Canadian linerlock folding knife "goes that route".
