Better than the cheesy alternatives!
I had been using rocks to hold down corners of landscaping cloth in my unending battle against weeds. Then I got a small number of thin staples (free--the price was right) with a roll of the cloth and realized how much better they were than rocks, although they didn't hold well sometimes and tended to rust. THEN I ordered these longer, thicker staples that held much better and didn't rust! Shortly thereafter I got a high paying job in hotel management and married a movie star! Well, maybe not the job and the star, but these are really good staples for a reasonable price.

They rust quick, galvanized coating flakes quick, pretty cheap product.
Staples are pretty simple I guess, the only real thing that separates different types are length, gauge, and coating.I wanted galvanized coated ones for longer lasting hardware, but all of these vendors in all seriousness just get their products from the same Chinese supplier. When picking I'd just go for the cheapest available ones, I laid a little extra for these and left them outside a few days ( 3-4 ) with some rain and morning dew getting them wet and when I finally went to use them I noticed the galvanization was already developing corrosion and some of the tips were already leaking rust from the inner wire.In addition, I rolled out garden area pretty well and 6" just isn't long enough to grip anywhere near the softened soil, make sure your ground cover is much wider than your prepped area to get any real grip out of these staples.

Twist and shout ( out of frustration)
I have to get pretty frustrated to write a bad review. I am very disappointed with this product. You read “galvanized “and you think steel and tough. Just the opposite. They may be galvanized but they are NOT made of sturdy material. Out of the 100 I bought I probably lost 20 to twisting and at least another 20 I had to bend down halfway in the ground because they would not go any further. These things will twist just by applying a little hand pressure. Tapping with a hammer doesn’t help either. These are probably okay in a garden with loose soil or loam.

EXACTLY what you need to install landscape fabric -- highest recommendation
I use these landscape staples when I install landscape fabric in my gardens. These staples are EXACTLY what you need. Professional grade. Perfect size, sharp points (for easier insertion into ground), and they will not rust. I did not order enough and when I ran out of these staples, I ran to a nearby famous chain hardware center and purchased what they sold, because I was in a hurry to finish the job. BIG mistake. The hardware center only sold staples that were smaller and shorter and were were hard to insert into the ground, because the staples did not have sharp pointed ends and were so thin that they bent when I had to use a hammer to pound them into the ground. Also, just one season later, the hardware chain staples were rusted and disintegrating.I will never make that mistake again.I now buy only these staples from Amazon, and am always satisfied with the product. Certainly, I prefer to pay a bit more for these staples that make it easier to do the job and that do not rust out.

They work, so you don't have to.
I've been putting in an irrigation system for our gardens. I used these staples to hold heavy duty garden hose, all the way down to small thin watering system components, and everything is held right where you want it. Care needs to be used because the pointy business end is very pointy/sharp, so you could puncture yourself if not paying attention. BUT those sharp points facilitate driving these into any type of soil. Nothing for small children to play with, but that is just common sense, isn't it. I could see these being very helpful if you were placing weed barrier, to hold it still, so when you mulched it was still where you wanted it to be, That is what the remainder of the box will be used for. Always nice when you get 100% use out of a low cost investment.

Superior staples
I live on the southern Oregon coast where, often in winter, wind gusts 50 miles an hour or so. Well, just after using a few dozen thin, 4”, non-galvanized staples I had purchased at the local supermarket to hold down a 20' x 20' span of 6 mil black plastic sheeting on my front center yard, we had a storm. I went out the day after the storm to find that sheeting was gone. The wind had pulled up dozens of those 4” staples, sent the sheeting up in the air about 30 feet and back about 60, where it hit the 40+” trees, and dropped it right into my back porch. It had scattered the thin, 4”, non-galvanized staples on my new concrete driveway, leaving rusty images of themselves. (Incidentally, the rust came off instantly with household white vinegar.)I had paid about $12 for a 75 pack of those junk staples. I didn’t know any better. I do now. These are superior in every way. I re-laid my sheeting using these pins.Since I placed these pins, we have had a few more strong gusting storms and the staples are holding the sheeting flat. Yay!

Probably best for very soft soil.
I bought these for securing the hardware cloth to the ground around my chicken coop. These suck! They bend so much. I bought these because of the high ratings, but compared to 5star staples 9 gauge, we now refer to these as the cheap ones and use these fill the areas that we secured with the better 5star ones. The quality is NOT great. I bought the 400 pk and they seem to be worse than the smaller packs because every one I just used bent. I'm not hitting a rock or anything and they still are bending. Spend the extra bucks and get a better quality. Better yet, go for 9 gauge 5star. I also thought that buying ones "made in USA" would be better quality but I guess not.

Solides !
J'ai acheté différentes sortes d'agraphies, notamment pour tenir les tuyaux d'irrigation. Celles-ci sont les plus résistantes. Elles ne rouillent pas en une saison! Elles peuvent être réutilisées !I bought different kinds of staples, especially to hold the irrigation pipes. These are the most resistant. They don't rust in one season! They can be reused!.

packaging is different
These came in a different package, so not sure if i received the right stuff? The staples are ok, already used some on garden fabric and hope these could last!
