Slickvacseal Built in The USA : 1.5 Gallon Wood Stabilizing Steel Vacuum Chamber

I've been using it to resin stabilize pen blanks and knife scales. It assembled easily and quickly. It works flawlessly and can hold a vacuum, well, probably almost indefinitely. I only wish it were a little taller and a bit more narrow. Depending on what I'm doing, I often use smaller HDPE #2 plastic containers inside the chamber so I don't have to dump so much resin in and I don't have a big clean-up afterwards.Tip: Before assembly, and before clipping the gauge cap, if you see a bubble in the gauge, place the guage face down for awhile or hold it above your head face down and manipulate it so the bubble is on the bottom by the connection tube. While mostly face down, tip it back and forth until you see the bubble disappear behind the face plate. After clipping the rubber cap, this cannot be done because it will leak and must be kept upright at all times after that. I was able to completely eliminate the bubble in mine.

Excellent product! Very thick glass(1/2”) that isn’t going to crack, like you see on all the other chambers on amazon.Packaged very well.Forget all those other cheap chambers.This this is a super tight seal. Held 30psi for a solid few hours until I needed to release the pressure, Didn’t drop a bit.Pressure regulator is top quality too.For my pump: I’m using a Harbor freight pump, works perfect for what I’m doing.I’ve used this pump over 50 times in the last few months, and I don’t think I’ll need another one. They built these to last.

I originally bought a cheap chamber from China and had so many problems. I connected my pump to this one and wala. Perfect for testing leakage in my glass bottles.

gauge worked perfect lid seal perfect was able to hold almost 29 inches of mercury i have read other reviews frompeople who had issues with the gauges but this wasn't the case with me. all oil filled gauges must be treated gentlyto last . slowly opening and closing valves in your set up will make them last as expected.

Has been a good vacuum chamber without any problems so far. You have to keep the glass lid and seal clean, but otherwise it has been flawless. The gauge and fittings that come with it have also been fine. I originally thought I had ordered the aluminum version because I wanted to drill a second port, but it came in stainless. The stainless was harder to drill and modify than aluminum would have been, but I managed to make it work.

Overall not a bad product. I had no problem with the gauge being at a slight angle, I think this was done so that you can get a better view. You get plenty of room to place your wood in this tank. I got a piece of 1/2 aluminum bar stock that i used as the hold down, drilled a few holes in it to let air rise to the surface. Works like a charm.

This thing is well-built. It will do exactly what you think it'll do. Glass lid is 1/2" thick. Can get pressure differentials of -29inHg with a cheap single-stage oil-based vacuum pump. No immediately obvious leaks, will hold vacuum for hours. Proper valving and a good amount of teflon tape on the threads. Don't piece a kit together, this guy did the hard work for you.
