Great for brookies using size 12 with power bait, worms, etc.
until i found these for every half dozen brookies i'd catch five would get off the hook before i'd get them to shore. or nearly as bad they would strip the bait off the hook before i could snag one. no matter what type of my other hooks or sizes it made zero difference.i stumbled across these by accident while looking for some other gear. i thought why not give them a shot they couldn't do worse than my other tackle. they arrived in a small blister pack. all were exactly as i expected them to be with zero defects or issues.the only thing that matters in the end is if these hooks would hold the bait and allow me time to get the fish to shore before they could 'get off.' i've only used this with power bait/worms and live worms. i had excellent success with all those types of bait. much better than a standard hook on all counts. size 12 is perfect for brook trout or similarly sized fish.with these my bait stays put and more often than not the fish more often than not make it to shore without getting off the hook too. i absolutely plan to stock up and get more for next season. i wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to others who fish.

If you use Power bait or any kind of dough bait these hooks keep you from losing your bait when casting or when a fish just nibbles! Worth the money to not lose your bait easily!
