I like this Classic Bottom Mount Spa and Hot Tub Cover Lifter easy to install. And it works great

Good Quality Product; but instructions are not very clear. Pay attention when installing the bent corner pieces that the pre-drilled holes are accessible from the top, or above the tub. The corner pieces should have been marked left and right to help.

I bought one to replace one that snapped in half due to the cover getting waterlogged and weighing a ton. It seems that this style of cover lift are all exactly the same regardless of the brand its being sold as. The one I took off our spa was the exact same. So having one already made the assembly a little bit easier since I was able to look at the previous one to determine the spacing of the poles. I actually think I did a better job than the one I had that was put in by the person I got the spa from. I think it took about a 90 mins to get it all setup, I probably added 30 mins to the overall time making sure all the poles were set at the exact same measurements. 100% recommend this lift, its one of the cheapest out there and works.

Like many people on here, I purchased this so my wife could get in and out of our spa by herself when needed, without dropping / dragging the cover across the concrete below, which I've learned significantly reduces the lifetime of a spa cover. Once you get it together, it works very well. The motion is smooth and effortless and it makes the cover feel almost weightless. It's so easy that I think my 4-year-old daughter could probably do it by herself as well.Assembly and installation was much more difficult and time consuming that I expected. I've seen a lot of complaints about the instructions. Someone else mentioned that there were "revised" instructions on the outside of the box - indeed there were, but I still found them confusing. For instance, they tell you to lay all pieces on the ground in a rectangle formation and tell you that certain parts of the rectangle will have holes drilled facing outward, 45 degrees from vertical, but every hole on every corner piece faces perfectly vertical. So, I basically just went with my gut and eventually figured it out, but make sure you measure once, then twice, and then again (the carpenter's mantra). The lengths obviously have to be identical on opposite sides of the rectangle, or it will not fit together correctly. Also make sure you leave enough clearance on both sides of the spa cover. You don't want the arm brushing up against the sides of the cover.Also, the instructions tell you to allow 3 additional inches of width relative to your spa's maximum width. These are also poor instructions - you don't want to measure the spa width - you want to measure your cover width which is probably a bit larger than your spa. Also make sure you measure the internal width of the rectangle formed by the parts (not the width including the width of the arms).The parts included plastic screw covers, which are important because you don't want the screw heads rubbing against your cover, as they can scratch and tear it over time. I applied all of the screw covers, only to have most of them pop off minutes later. Applying a light force with a hammer just makes them split. This was really annoying - the manufacturer should include screw covers that actually stay in place. Now I will probably have to wrap electrical tape around the metal bars where the screws are just to make sure the screws don't rub against the cover.We'll see if this product stands the test of time. I intend to be pretty gentle with mine, as I don't have tons of confidence in the two retaining chains holding the weight of the cover. All in all, a few disappointments with quality and assembly, and seemingly expensive for what it is, but I do like the product thus far.

It is a back saver. I no longer have to wrestle the hot tub cover to take it on/off. Now I can do it with ease. Even my 11 year old grandson can do it.

Pretty easy to install. So far euros great

This product is excellent. I am a female 76 years old and was able to install it by myself with a little assistance from my 77 year old husband. The instructions were easy and precise. We installed another lifter and almost divorce over the installation, just kidding.Don’t listen to the negative reviews, just get it.As far as durability, time will tell.

Bought this as a simple solution to hold up my spa cover. Got it and installed it in the same day. Took a bit of skill with an electric drill to assemble and was customizable based on the size of the spa. The quality is pretty cheap though. The pain scratches very easily and the tubing material can easily be bent if there is stress applied. I get the idea that you get what you pay for, but this is something that should be priced around $50-$60 in my opinion based on the quality of materials.

Half way through the winter and this lifter is still working well. I had decided to mount it on the deck rather than drilling holes in the Hot Tub. I still feel this was the best way, but heavy snow falls does restrict it's movement. Something to consider if you live in an area that gets lots of snow and ice.

Les instructions (en anglais) seulement sont contradictoire. Devrait prendre un maximum d’une heure mais parce que les instructions sont nébuleuse j’ai du mettre le d’ouble. Ua final beau résultat et fonctionne bien.

Easy to install. Works well and simple robust design. Also, clears the raised speaker enclosures on the back corners of the tub. I mounted mine on the deck rather than the tub. Nice feature.

Very easy to set up.
