And I haven't had any issues with the hardware or connection! I bought this to pair with ShopifyPOS and set-up was a breeze. Even Shopify has instructions on how to pair non-Shopify Sockets, so this was a win! It does take a minute or two to sync at times when I update a UPC/EAN on the backend, but I can't say for sure it's the scanner. Ergonomic and reads barcodes on screens and some shiny surfaces with no problems. It makes sounds if the barcode was accepted (found in the system, 1 beep) or rejected (not found, two beeps). It also vibrates for those who want turn off the sound since it is loud, or for accommodating persons who can't hear. Charging can be tricky. You MUST ensure the contacts touch when in the cradle. If you use the lanyard or hastily put it back, it may need to be aligned until you get the feel of it. You'll hear a light double-beep when charging and the battery icon should light up. I don't keep it off the cradle for too long so I can't speak for longevity, but it does charge pretty quickly though give it a good, long charge when you first plug it in.

This scanner has been working perfectly for 6 months now, daily use in retail with no issues so far. No connection loss or battery problems. We use Square and Shopify POS, and is 100% compatible. This is the only option if you want to use Square and Shopify with the same iPad. Wired scanners only work with one platform like Square with the Stand, so no good there. Because it has been so reliable, these bad reviews make me thing those people are paid by the competition or they're simply just stupid.

This has given me so many problem within a short 90 days of owning it. I highly do not recommend.If I wasn’t all the way in the Caribbean, I would return it.I would say that support is helpful but, when they help with the problem, another one is right up next 😪

It was nice and easy to set up with phone. But it’s not compatible with square register. Square register does not have Bluetooth capability. But if you run square from your IPhone it worked great.
