Couldn’t put it down!
I follow Meg Apperson on Instagram and I admire her strength as a mother of a beloved disabled child and the love she has for her children that has her dig deep into her heart and soul and share this with us. Meg has a gift with words and her story is relatable in that life is not perfect and our goal is to overcome challenges that come our way so they don’t break us. I received the book yesterday and I stayed up way too late last night and finished it - I couldn’t put it down. Thank you for sharing your story. We all have one, but not necessarily the gift to share it in a book.

Absolutely recommend.
Relatable. Compelling. Vulnerable. This beautiful story showcases Avery: a medically fragile child destined to be in this world. Meg weaves Avery's narrative in with her own, as she grapples with her own origin story. In a genre that can sometimes push positivity into unrealistic levels, Meg's account is surprisingly vulnerable and bittersweet. It is raw, honest, and surprisingly funny at some points. Overall, this was a worthwhile memoir to read, especially if you are a parent, Christian, or have lived a little life to know it's not always roses.

A book better than the blog.
Just finished this book and thoroughly enjoyed the very detailed account and story dictated on the pages. The book was extremely well written, thought out, and organized. I have been following Meg’s blog for many years now and was super excited to read her book knowing that it would fill in some of the holes in the story from her blog. I would encourage anyone looking for a modern day story of God‘s miraculous power working in the life of a child to read this book. Meg has done a fantastic job of capturing the power, the grace, and the plan God had for her and her family through the life of their medically fragile child. Please consider reading this book. I was afraid that I was going to just be rereading her blog when I bought the book but that is 100% not true that if you read her blog and the book you get two different experiences of their life. Super excited to see what other books this young passionate writer comes up with.
