The product is very helpful for ventilation. There were no size mentioned in the description page but still placed the order. Had to get the size altered for the perfect fit to my window. The glie on the other side of the welcro is strong enough to hold. It's material is soft mesh. It can stop flies and lizards from entering but m not sure of rodents mice and all as this is a fabric mesh, they may chew and test through this.
