Sevigny's Thin Ribbon Candy - Made in USA. 9 Oz.

Ribbon candy is okay at best, but this particular ribbon candy was super disappointing. As others have mentioned in their reviews, mine also came already broken into many tiny pieces. The second disappointment was the candy pictured on the candy box is not what was inside my box. The colors/flavors are different, and I’m positive there’s two cinnamon and no apple. Regardless the candy does not look the same as what is pictured. Finally my last gripe about the candy is that it all tastes like peppermint, and it shouldn’t. I would not purchase this candy again and I would not recommend it.

I've ordered this item a couple of times and have been really pleased. Most of the pieces are broken, but you couldn't fit a whole piece in your mouth anyway so I was fine with that. The flavors are very intense. You know what flavor you have right away. No trying to figure out what you're eating. The colors are very pretty and bright. The whole design is very pretty and delicate looking. I was very pleased with my order and will order again.

biggest anticipation for haven't had in few years. pricey t just under $10 but i ASSumed worth it. upon receipt, much rattlimg in box. my worst thought - broken in pieces when looked inside! ALSO, only EIGHT ribbons whereas times back double tiered box with about TEN! disappointed and DISGUSTED, i tasted the green, the pink anticipating the flavors of CHRISTMAS: spearment and wintergreen. YUK! sour LIME! and PINK LEMONADE???!! what! flavors of SPRINGTIME IN THE MOUNTIES! WHY?!! why kill a good thing, trying to be relevant w/ younger generation? who cares! i paid hefty price for less and i expected ORIGINAL flavors of spearment, wintergreen -- and WHERE'S THE ORANGE RIBBON, wonderful flavor i recollect!??? only 'good' thing was the thickness of the ribbons. problem of broken could be there was only one sheet crumpled kraft brown paper to cushion - ON THE TOP! should've have ENCASE entire product box which easily moved around inside SHIP CARTON! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!

Although I love the candy and nostalgia of the candy, every piece of candy was broken. The candy was packaged by Amazon, it arrived with package insulation on the top of the candy, but on the bottom of the candy was nothing. There was nothing on the bottom or sides of the candy to protect it from damage. The broken candy was disappointing to receive, because part of the nostalgia is the appearance of the candy itself, after all it is Ribbon Candy, not Broken Ribbon Candy.

The candy tasted great and had a nice variety of flavors.Unfortunately, it didn’t come wrapped in bubble wrap or anything so the packaging did not protect it during shippingInstead of ribbon candy we just got tiny shards of candy. You can get that by ordering pretty much any other hard candy.This would be a really high-quality product if the seller or Amazon simply protected it during shipping with a little bubble wrap.

Love the candy.... but they are broken into very small pieces.

I go through 2 or 3 boxes of this each holiday, but not this candy. This stuff , as others mentioned was thick and tough (and sticky). Sugar absorbs water and swells (think boxes of old, dark brown sugar). This batch must have been sitting in a damp warehouse where it absorbed a lot of water. It was about twice as thick as usual, and tasted funky. It was actually hard to break and some pieces curled around themselves and no little broken pieces in the box as usual.I can't fault the manufacturer. It had to be the distributor.

The product arrived when promised and tasted delicious. It was just slightly sticky on the surface as if exposed to humidity, but still crunchy, not gummy. All ribbons except for one were broken into multiple pieces. That was disappointing, but somewhat expected given delicate nature of ribbon candy. The candy boxes could have been protected in the shipping box a little better, but any shipping is bound to be detrimental to ribbon candy, I think. All-in-all, I am happy with this delectable purchase.
