Those are for mainly securing your SupPocket to your board in case you don't trust the suction cups it comes with.Mine are mounted in the middle of the front section of the nose of my board. I use them as anchor points for anything I take with me Into the water.I mount my GoPro session under my board with a suction cup, but I can't trust a $300 camera with a $15 suction cup, so I run a leash from my GoPro to these anchor points. And it was wise of me to do that, because one day, I traversed into shallow water. I wasn't thinking much when my fin hit something. But before whatever hit my fin, it had hit my GoPro and dislodged it from the bottom of my board.Needless to say, my GoPro was dragged to where I docked. I had a case on it that got pretty banged up. But I would rather pay a replacement case then lose a GoPro.I've also tethered coolers with these points, as well as water bottles, and other gear safely.I have capsized on my board, and once I flipped it back over, had to just "reel" in my gear I had attached to these points instead of having a hard time retrieving stuff that floats or sunk during my mishap.
