This is not "dry erase" and I am returning it. The first time it was shipped to us it was damaged. The second time we realized that to get the marker off you have to spray it with cleaner. No one buying a Dry Erase Whiteboard wants this. This product is BAD. Sorry, Big Boards.

Though the packing seemed very good, the board was dinged a little on the side which caused an uneven line or two vertically on the board. Since the item is large...and these did not interfere with the ability to hold magnets...I did not send it back. The board serves the purpose I bought it for which is for a little one to use as a magnet board...so the imperfections don't obstruct the use. It is light enough that I can easily move it from room to room and prop it up against something -meaning that the child is always supervised when using the board- however the ability to mount it with holes in the corners and the hardware provided seems like a very easy alternative if I had a permanent place for it. I made a small attempt to remove the tray at the bottom and have not figured that out yet...maybe pliers would help...so I covered any sharp edges with masking tape. Therefore, if someone is using this for a toddler, I would suggest that if it is not mounted and if the tray is not removed or taped to cover all sharp edges- it ALWAYS must be used under supervision....meaning- sitting right next to the child.

This board is lightweight and exactly the size I needed for my classroom, but it arrived damaged. If I spend $60 on something I expect it to arrive without scratches and dents. I was told that the long dent across the center occurs when it is dropped in transit, but my packaging didn't show any signs of damage. Also, the way it was shrink-wrapped to hold the small tray and markers caused another dent and scratch in the board. I'm reordering and hoping for better luck in the shipping.

A comment to Daniel's comment on 8/26/2016. I bought two in July. Even as a brand new board, as soon as you leave your writing on the board for more than 30 seconds, you cannot erase the ink unless you use the spray. I WAS SO BAD.But until recently after I used spray to erase a few times, exhaustedly, I noticed the surface had a small crack. I was mad. But as soon as I used my finger to figure out the crack, I soon realized that it is a thin plastic cover!!!! As soon as I remove this cover completely from the surface, the white board works great!The plastic cover is so thin that it's hard to notice its existence. Daniel, please double check yours. I would suggest the seller puts a note in the package to avoid such misunderstanding.

I had a hard time finding a larger white board that didn't cost a lot. And then I found this one! I love that it can be mounted or hung by the hooks. If you play with it a little, you can temporarily remove the silver trim (screwdriver required) to change which side of the board the hooks are on (depending on how you want to hang the board - as is or vertically) and you can also remove the marker tray in that same way (if you hang it vertically the marker tray is a little too much in the way but that can be easily tweaked). The board did arrive somewhat damaged but the company did a GREAT job of working with me on that so that all parties were satisfied.

The white board arrived damaged. Both the frame and the actual white board had visible dents. Disappointing!

Pros:price & free shippinghigh-gloss, doesn't ghoststurdy packaging survived shipping wellincluded a marker, some magnets, and a magnetic eraser (nothing fancy, but functional to start out)Cons:manufacturing quality is so-so. There are ripples in the surface, which clearly were there to start with, as the packaging is pristine. These don't impair the usability of the board at all, but are definitely visible on the glossy surface. Also, the top frame is a bit mangled where the hanging hooks were mounted.

The size was perfect but there were two large divots across the width of the board that warped the entire board. I had to return it. I would like to reorder but would like to let the supplier know to check for defects.
