Good book
If you like a little blood and gore. I do. Lots of psychological thrills and chills. Detailed story with several characters but pretty easy to follow them. The dialogue flows freely and smoothly. The editing is clean with very little spelling or grammatical errors. I would recommend this book to any adult that likes a mystery and psychological thriller. I will read more of this author.

whaaaaat did I just read?????
Whoa - excellent twisty turny completely unexpected and unpredictable. But whoa. I’ve read a lot of creepy, weird stuff? But this is beyond that. It’s just grossgrossgross. Think twice before you pick it up - it is seriously nightmare material. I’d not go back & do it over. Pardon me while I go bleach my brain….

Creepy thriller
Thirteen years ago eight year old twins Annabelle and Caroline were abducted from their southeastern Tennessee home. They were held captive and tortured for a year, then one was able to escape. Now Caroline assists her foster father in criminal profiling though she still bears the scars from her ordeal. Now young women are going missing and the MO is strikingly similar to that of Caroline’s abductor. Is there a connection? So, great premise, and if you’re looking for a cozy mystery walk on by this one. It really had the makings of a possible five star book but for the fact that nearly any reader is going to ID the bad guy and a few twists right away, there are some painful grammatical errors (like messing up to/too/two), and it’s a bit hard to swallow that Caroline is supposed to be a student but she doesn’t ever actually go to school and no one is going to let a 21 year old work murder cases when she doesn’t even have a bachelor’s degree, much less when she <spoiler>just had a nervous breakdown three months earlier and she has hallucinations nearly every day. I wouldn’t trust her to water my plants while I was on vacation, much less let her anywhere near a crime scene. Suspension of disbelief can only stretch so far. </spoiler>. But, even with flaws, an enjoyable read, good quarantine page turner and I’ll be looking for more from this author. Currently available on Kindle Unlimited.

Biggest twist ever
I initially thought they had both lived, and one would be the killer. It wasn't until Caroline started piecing it together, so did I. How do writers do that? Get inside your brain so you start seeing how it all actually happens. Going to need a fairytale to read after this. Fantastic book, totally recommend.

Twists
I enjoyed this book and the characters, however, sometimes I bot a bit lost on the back and forth. I enjoyed the story but it wax an easy book go put down each night. It didn't grip me.

Monsters
This was an incredible storyline! It sure kept me on the edge of my seat. It had suspense with lots of twists. The ending was explosive. The title says it all. Monsters aren't always under the bed.

Gripping
I enjoyed the plot. The main character has such strength!Suspense filled, I struggled to put the boomtown. Though, the ending was quiet anticlimactic.
