PROS: These batteries work and being rechargeable just may help with battery garbage wasteCONS: Shade bigger than alkaline batties.Yes I'd recommend to friends and have purchased again already.

8.2V batteries for Smoke Alarms
Bought these for use in some smoke/fire alarms around the house. Bought partially based on past experience with PowerOwl batteries and chargers and with mAh rating.Was a little disappointed that they are actually only 8.2V and not a full 9V.When I 1st put them in the Smoke Alarm the device immediately started to beep as-if the battery was low.I charged them for a full 24hrs. in my PowerOwl charger and then tried 1 more time.This TIME they held up. It has been about a month or 2. I'm a little worried that if they drop much below 8.2V that the smoke alarm will begin to ::beeep:: again which they always seem to chose to do so at like 2:00AM in the morning. - But so far, so good.2 of the batteries have a disconcerting 'rattle' when you shake them. They feel as-if the battery cell is loose within the battery and you can feel and hear it bump the top and bottom when you shake the battery. Not sure if this is a long term issue. Doesn't seem to affect performance.
