Hurricane Trilogy Fork Roof Rack Adapter: 15mm x 110mm Boost

I didn't buy this to go on a car, but to go on a Park PRS-20 repair stand. This stand uses a quick release mechanism to hold the bike by the fork (supported under the bottom bracket). The Park through-axle part didn't fit 15x110. Thought that, if I'd trust such a part at highway speeds, surely it would work on a repair stand.One derailleur replacement bore out my concept. Plus, the color is *almost* Park blue, matching the stand.Oh...and if I ever need to carry my bike on a fork-mount rack, I'm covered!

Had some trouble with shipping in the beginning, but customer service was great, under the circumstances we are all in, they did a great job. My lack of five stars would only be that going through two people to communicate got a bit confusing. Other than that, it ended up good. 👍

Poorly manufactured, thru axle barely fits in, needs to have material removed to fit. The body is welded metal, with plastic inserts that determine the axle diameter that fits. These inserts seem press-fit in, so the inner edges of them are squeezed inward and restrict the space that the axle passes through. I had to get my new bike into a car to get it home hundreds of miles away, so had to do some on-the-fly reaming out of the inner edges to get the axle through. Getting it back out was sure fun. I have a different adapter from the manufacturer of my bike rack (Rocky Mounts) that has machined aluminum inserts for various sizes included. That works much better. I was happy to buy one made in the US, but the quality is subpar, unfortunately.

I have not had much chance to use it yet, so I cannot comment on the durability, but I have to say I was disappointed when I received this product.The logo on the crossbar uses an American flag as a background, which is something I try to actively avoid displaying. While it doesn't affect the function, it is disappointing that the manufacturer decided to include a well known symbol on the product without adding it to the description.Also, the packaging clearly states in multiple places "do not tighten over 8 ft-lbs" but does not specify what should not be torqued past 8 ft-lbs. The spindle? the axle? both? the cam on either? who knows...

Own 2 other hurricane mounts, 15mm through axle and lefty both have lasted years. Well made and fit perfectly.
