UPDATE:I have had this lead for over a year now and am still very pleased with it. No issues at all 😊I chose this lead for its tape rather than having a cord. As my photos show; it came in a lovely sturdy, glossy box and would make a nice gift. Tape is well sewn and the clasp is a good size and I can fit all the D rings from my dog's harness inside easily. The lead is heavier than one designed for small dogs but I found that smaller varieties are often too tight in the handle, this one has a big handle hole, it would fit any hand. The ergonomic shape of the handle is comfortable and the inner bump helps my finger stay in place, which is necessary to enable me to reach the stop button on the top. The stop button is easy to use and so far, reliable. The retracting action of the tape is very smooth and efficient and quiet, however I found that when walking with the lead short, the inner tape makes a tapping sound as it moves around as your hand naturally swings, not a big issue though. The poop bag holder is brilliant but I unclipped it from the lead as it was swinging and banging the plastic casing of the lead, so I just clipped it onto my trouser belt loop instead. My dog is only 6kg so I can't say how well it stands up to the strain of a much bigger dog. The colour online makes it look neon yellow/lime green, however it is more of a light olive green, not neon. I don't mind. I haven't used it for long yet and will update in a few months with news of how it's holding up. So far, so good.

I remember being impressed with my old dog lead when purchasing but now it's getting worn I decided on this. I have to say this lead surpasses my old one in every way.Its a thin and wide tape instead of the standard rope. At first I didn't get the point but now I realise that the tape must be substantially stronger. I've had a lead snap before when it got snagged and I can't see the tape every ripping that easily.This also retracts right up to the handle whereas before we had about half a meter that wouldn't retract so hard going through towns. The best bit about this lead is the increase in size and weight than I had before. The clip for the collar is oversized so don't have to fidget about trying to get it open. The lead is a chunky size down side is I can't put in in my Jean back pocket but should fit in a coat pocket and it seems to have some added weight. I like it as it doesn't feel like the lead can fly out my hand as easy but don't know if this would be overkill for elderly people walking old dogs 😂.Great purchase 🐕🚶

*** UPDATE ***The lead broke after 2.5 months of use! I was using it more often as my 20kg 1-year old pup was neutered and was not allowed off the lead for 10 days. He doesn't like being on the lead, so pulls. The lead is strong (I still use it) and the loop that goes inside the handle hadn’t broken, it felt like a ‘D’ ring inside had snapped.I contacted the seller and they offered a new one or refund with photographic evidence to see where the weakness had occured, which is very fair as they wanted to improve their product (which is lovely to hear). They were quick and polite during correspondence, despite their grammatically incorrect and disjointed English but they were very happy to help. ***A good lead, it retracts. The lead doesn’t feel like the right length but I suppose you wouldn’t want your dog further than that anyway. (See photo)I wish there was a bungy part to stop sudden stops, of the end of the lead.

Have use it 3 times so far and and i have only positive things to say about this lead.In the beggining i thought that it was one more Retractable Dog Lead like the others but after the first use ifound out that i was wrong.First of all this lead looks expensive and high quality, then it feels expensive and high quality.It is heavy but not to much and sturdy.The the thing that amazed me is how smooth the lead moves, the dog doesn't feel anything, even with a small move of your hand and the lead unleashes immediatelly.And my dog is just a puppy not heavy at all.The resistance is very low and smooth but enough to hold the lead stretched.I was expecting to use that when my dog gets bigger but no, it's just perfect for my puppy.The only downside is that locking mechanism is a little far from finger, i think it should have been place more close, but thats a minor thing to an amazing lead.I would definetlly recommend it to anyone needs a retractable lead.And, i have to say that, it's the 4th item that i am purchasing from Pecute and because of the quality of their products i am first looking their brand (No, they are not paying me) i am just satisfied.Hope you guys keep making quality products, well done

We struggled for years to find a retractable lead that felt sturdy but light at the same time for our Westie. This was just the ticket!The grip on it is just so comfortable. You feel the softness and none of the plastic edges of our current one. This new one feels right in your hand.The control is so easy to operate. It did not feel fiddly. I guess for someone with arthritis, it is a plus. Your thumb is not cramped or contorted when clapping or releasing the lead.The lead itself is of a flat design so when it dies not get tangled inside. As a result, we have not had a block so far! I also live the fact that the lead has reflectiveb stitching on it that is very discrete. It does not look like you are walking around with a high visibility jacket. I feel that when you take the dog food a walk in the evening, we are that but safer when crossing the busy main road with poor lighting. The reflectivity of the lead us awesome when cars drive past us! I tried to capture this in the pictures.From my dog's point of view, he does not care 🤣🤣🤣 As long as he goes for a walk 🤣🤣🤣 Hey, a walk is all he wants.I highly recommend this retractable lead!
