AMAZING BOOK
WOW!!!. I was speechless and amazed by the sheer beauty of the book . It was just beautiful piece of writing. Yes,it was a typical romance but such was the characters and their development that it was just not an ordinary book for sure . I read this book in ONE DAY! It was exactly what I needed while reading this book. The witty banter lobbed back and forth was brilliant. I fell in love with these characters right at the start. A book needs to have beautiful characters to be successful and this book had 2 Beautiful ones and an adorable dog. What more could have the readers asked and expected .“YOU CAN’T CONTROL THE BAD THINGS THAT HAPPEN TO YOU. ALL YOU CAN DO IS DECIDE HOW MUCH OF YOU YOU’RE GOING TO LET THEM TAKE.“The two characters hadn’t even met and they had a interesting chemistry throughout their banter through texts . I loved Jason and Sloan. Their chemistry, their humor, their building friendship. I was unabashedly in love with their entire romance. I was grinning from ear to ear and I didn’t want to stop! The pacing , the story-line , the characters and even the side characters were perfect . I don’t want to go in much detail of the book as I absolutely don’t want to spoil the book for you . You should take a deep breath and just enjoy the book .I didn’t know that this book was connected to the author’s previous novel,The Friend Zone, I so have to read it. That other story follows Kristen and Josh’s story and I can’t wait to read it! “The Happy Ever After Playlist” by Abby Jimenez, Hits All the Right Notes! Cue the Smiles, the Laughter and yes, even the Tears!

I rarely like first person narration, but this is the second book by the same author that I just loved (previous one was the friend zone). She invests heavily in her characters, and makes you do the same.Waiting for the next one...

Romantic Comedy and Romance packaged in one novel
Stars: 4.5This is a rom-com that graduated into a romance that needs to be read. It has humour, emotions, kismet and of course romance. The first half is the perfect rom-com where the connection between the 2 MCs is established with the smooth as butter conversation that will have you smiling the whole time. I love Jason's 'I am calling you' texts.Abby has written both MCs to be such sensitive sorted individuals that it's a treat to slide into their love story as the flirting progresses into a relationship. All their issues and emotions are palpable and had me completely emotionally invested. There's no shallow fluff here!I felt every emotion the MCs went through: the exhilaration, the butterflies, the helplessness, the hopelessness, the selflessness that love brings and the grief. It was my favorite part after their falling-in-love part of course.A little more steam would have made me swoon.Read this book, and read it soon. You will forget your Coronavirus lockdown worries and fall in love with Abby Jimenez's writing.

Lovely book!
🐣 My Take: They say love is easy to find, but I rather believe that it’s harder to sustain. A lot of books romanticize it for us, giving us the perfect ending even before portraying the obstacles that one faces. That’s probably why I adored this book. Being brought up with constant Bollywood movies, one can imagine how flawed my idea of love is. Damn you, SRK and your lovely love songs! It’s usually mentioned that one should read a book that helps them grow as an individual or changes their perspective, for the better. It was this book for me. Rather than solely focusing on the “ happily ever after”, the readers go through a roller coaster of emotions. Starting from grief that Sloan experienced after the loss of her fiancé. A painter and food blogger that falls into a pit of self destruction. The author does a good job in comparing Sloan’s mental state with that of her broken car or even her house, which was slowly crumbling down. With each passing day, her mental health deteriorated up until a dog makes an appearance in her life. This dog somehow becomes her helpline but that too is short lived when the owner gets back in touch with her. But luckily for her, the dog owner, Jason, is far more interested in her.A relationship requires sacrifice, trust, love, understanding and even if it does have all that, there’s still some jealousy. A normal romance book would briefly touch upon one of the above mentioned and give us a happy ending. We as humans, love a happy ending, it is what keeps us guarded in this stressful world, but it also gives us fake expectations. Can we all really just be okay in the long run? Maybe. Maybe not. So yeah, life isn’t just rainbows and butterflies, sometimes the people who you love deeply will hurt you, but does that mean you let yourself go with them? Of course not.“you can’t control the bad things that happen to you. All you can do is decide how much of you, you’re going to let them take.” In its way, the book was motivating and shed light on lots of different aspects.“You think you know what love looks like. You think the fairy tales and the romance movies prepare you. And then you finally really truly find it and you realize, you never knew a thing about it until her.”🐣 My Rating: Did this book make me smile? Yes. Did it make me cry? Not really. My eyes did get a little glossy so that counts. Did I adore the book? Definitely! Is it worth reading it ~again~ if my short term memory was lost? Hell yeah! A solid 4/5

terrific read!
This book has it all- humor, romance, spice, sadness, and joy! The characters are well developed and the writing is superb! This was the perfect sequel to Friend Zone. My only complaint is that it is over! I wish there was another sequel to their lives after the epilogue!
