Overall very good belts but beware the 36 Grit
Hopefully this review will help someone new to using these belts as I was. They are offered by 3M in 3 grits; 36, 60 and 80, with very little information regarding recommended grit size for different tasks. I bought all three, have used them and here's what I learned. The 36 grit are VERY aggressive, which was expected, but do not last very long at all. Maybe it has something to do with the detail sander I am using, a 3/8" x 13". Using them to grind welds down in tight spots I was shocked by how quickly the grit flew off the belt -I'm thinking that the large 36 grit is actually breaking off as it spins over the tight radius at the nose of the little 3/8 x 13 sander. They cut fast, but very quickly the belt is full of bare spots.Perhaps someone with a 1/2" belt sander could chime in and say if they had a better experience with the 36 grit...The 60 grit are also surprisingly aggressive. I switched to these and had no trouble grinding welds down, even grinding out a few spot welds with ease.I'm using the 80 grit for more delicate work such as fitting repair panels and they seem to last forever. In summary, at least for my 3/8 x 13 belt sander, there is nothing the 36 grit can do that the 60 grit cannot do almost as rapidly, and the 80 grit takes care of everything else, so no need for me to restock the 36 grit.

Do not buy!
Grit does not stick to the belts. Comes off way easy while using. Hot throughg a couple spot welds and it was done, needed a new belt grit was gone. The 80 grit is good, this 36 is horrible do not buy it.

Cubitron belts are fast cutting.
Excellent product! I used the file belts for removing spot welds, it's much fasterthen using a spot weld drill.

Better
This are better than the no name brands, but the grit doesn't last very long and comes off too quick, but better than the knock off china brands.
