Hawke 35102 Nature Trek Binoculars, 8X42Mm (Green)

Good so far. Used them on two trips. The instrument is quite sharp with images. The cover is useless one should spend for a good case to protect the instrument

I wanted a good piece of kit for observing nature without breaking the bank and I think this piece of equipment offers very good quality compared to its price level and it feels very well built. It is comfortable to hold and the neck strap is light yet very strong and the soft neck piece does not bruise your skin during long walks. It comes with rubber cups for all four ends and the back caps can be looped over the neck strap so you never lose them. The rubber front caps have a ring which can be fastened to the body which is practical.The carrying case feels cheap but I only use it to storage so it's not a problem.Controls feel well damped and it's very easy to precisely adjust both the angle or focus to your needs. Eyepieces can be extended with definite stops to set eye relief which is a huge plus.Regarding image quality colour rendition is great the sharpness is excellent. I noticed some chromatic aberration under certain circumstances but it is no way a show stopper and, again, given the price it is very good overall, highly recommended.

I bought these after looking at a number of other options and am highly satisfied. They're always to hand to watch birds feeding at a little enclave just adjacent to my home. There's nothing to criticise about these binoculars. I'm delighted I chose them.

My wife has the 8x32 which are great but when my 8x42 arrived I noticed right away that the diopter ring was broken .Very disappointed.

Excellent value for money, the focus is good, I have the 8x42. Easy too hold and use. Came much quicker than the original delivery date.
