A must have for anyone supporting someone with anxiety
I found this book really helpful. While it is geared toward supporting someone with anxiety I found it effective in helping with self reflection and using your own experiences as a compass in preparation to be someone’s support mechanism.It’s rare I find something thought provoking but there were several moments where I paused and took time to consider my actions, the impact they have and to engage with the prospect that I can support in different ways.While I this book helped inform and educate me the main stand out for me is the practical advice and tips that allow you to be a positive contributor to someone’s well being. Guidance such as what to look for in terms of physical indicators helped me act with confidence.If you are someone’s support mechanism and you want to be the best support you can be this is a book worthy of your time.

A real game-changer for those of us struggling to help loved one's with Anxiety!
I'm not a big reader, anything but. However having friends and family who suffer from anxiety as well as myself I thought this book might help. How right I was!! Easy to understand without going into technical and medical jargon. This book has really helped me understand anxiety and what's going on in my own mind as well as my nearest and dearest. It's also helped me to recognise and implement methods with dealing and approaching anxiety which i simply didn't know or understand.This book has completely opened up my understanding of anxiety and has as a result armed me with the knowledge and know-how to help those closest to me which is the most important thing for me.

A gamechanger.
An excellent book. written with empathy and insight. This book has not only helped me to re-evaluate how to support a loved one who is living with heightened and debilitating anxiety, it has also helped me to understand and manage my own. The book is beautifully presented and easy to navigate. It has depth and is written by someone who's knowledge and experience is evident. Highly recommended.

Clear, informative, and accessible.
As someone who lives with anxiety on a daily basis, I was unsure about reading this book as it is aimed more at those who find themselves in a supporting role. However, I found that this book has helped me to understand more about what anxiety is and how to live better with it. Written in a clear and accessible way, I would definitely recommend this book if you are wanting to understand more about what anxiety is, how it affects people, and how to be a support. This book will prove especially useful in our current times as many will be feeling anxious about the easing of coronavirus restrictions.

A genuinely helpful book on anxiety
This book really helped me understand anxiety. I learnt ways of helping with anxiety for myself and for helping others who suffer. The way it is laid out helps you follow the guidance. The stuff about listening made me think about how I speak to other people and also how I respond. It has lots of tools to try, I like that the help given is practical. Would recommend to anyone who wants to learn to be a better helper. Good book.

A real eye opener
I wanted to try to try to better understand my partner's anxiety and ways in which I can help her. The book immediately showed me how at times my reactions haven't helped and offered insight into why my other half struggles with worries from time to time, how difficult they can be during a difficult spell and ways in which to best support and help.
